Graham died at the home <strong>of</strong> his son, James Graham, in Aurora Springs, Feb. 16, at the age <strong>of</strong> 87 yearsand 25 days. He was born in Kentucky January 22, <strong>18</strong>45. When he was eight years old he came with his parents to<strong>Miller</strong> <strong>County</strong>, Missouri, where he has since made his home.


When he was 28 years old he was married to Ann Suvica Abbott. To this union were born seven children.Three died in infancy; one, Mrs. Micca Hall, died twenty years ago. There are three children yet living—James A.Graham, <strong>of</strong> Aurora Springs, Mrs. Eva Hicks <strong>of</strong> Tuscumbia, and Mrs. Cora <strong>Miller</strong> <strong>of</strong> Pleasant Valley, Oregon. Hiswife preceded him to the home beyond on September 9th, 1909.Mr. Graham joined the Christian Church in early life and has been a faithful member ever since. At the time <strong>of</strong>his death he was a member <strong>of</strong> the Saline Valley Christian Church. He served in the <strong>Miller</strong> <strong>County</strong> Militia as aprivate in Captain J.B. Salsman’s company.He leaves to mourn his loss one son, two daughters, fifteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren andmany other relatives and friends. Mrs. Lucinda<strong>Abbet</strong>t (nee Prock), wife <strong>of</strong> <strong>John</strong> <strong>Abbet</strong>t, died Thursday afternoon, March 27, 1941 at her home in Iberia at the age<strong>of</strong> 81 years. She had been a resident <strong>of</strong> <strong>Miller</strong> <strong>County</strong> all her life and was an aunt <strong>of</strong> probate judge C.M. <strong>Abbet</strong>t <strong>of</strong>Tuscumbia.Lucinda Sedonia <strong>Abbet</strong>t, daughter <strong>of</strong> <strong>John</strong> and Elizabeth Prock, was born near Iberia, October 20, <strong>18</strong>60. Sheentered into rest at her home in Iberia Thursday, March 27, 1941, at the age <strong>of</strong> 80 years, five months and 7 days. OnSpetember 16, <strong>18</strong>80, she was married to <strong>John</strong> R. <strong>Abbet</strong> and to them nine children were born, two <strong>of</strong> whom precededthe mother in death, one in infancy and Burley who died about four years ago.Surviving are her husband and seven children; Late <strong>of</strong> Stafford, MO, Oliver <strong>of</strong> Iberia, Oscar <strong>of</strong> Oklahoma, Otto<strong>of</strong> Crocker, Mrs. Harrison Carroll <strong>of</strong> Crocker, Mrs Ottie Dickerson <strong>of</strong> Florida and Mrs. Grace Ransom <strong>of</strong> Colorado.There are 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren, a host <strong>of</strong> other relatives and friends. She was a sister <strong>of</strong>Mrs. <strong>John</strong> Prock <strong>of</strong> near Tuscumbia.About 50 years ago, Mrs. <strong>Abbet</strong> united with the Christian Church and later about the year 1917, she placed hermembership with the Nazarene Church and at the time <strong>of</strong> her death was a member <strong>of</strong> the Iberia Nazarene Church.She was a good Christian woman, wife and mother and was loved and respected by everyone. He was married Nov. 9, 1935, inTuscumbia, to Mable Ramsey, who survives at the home.He was employed as an aircraft assembler in Baltimore during World War II. A resident <strong>of</strong> Tuscumbia for16 years, he was a farmer until 1962 when he moved to Edwardsville. He worked as a Pinkerton guard in St. Louisfor four years, and was employed at American Steel for 14 years. He was a member <strong>of</strong> Mt. Zion Christian Church,Tuscumbia.Other survivors include: three sons, Wayne Curry, Edwardsville, Oliver Curry, Holts Summit, and FinnisCurry, Troy, Ill.; one brother, Ralph W.
