HIGH COMMISSION OF MALAYSIA ACCRA REPUBLIC OF GHANAVISA REQUIREMENTTo enable the High Commission of <strong>Malaysia</strong> to facilitate the application for <strong>Visa</strong> to <strong>Malaysia</strong>, itis hereby requested that all applicants need to observe the following requirement andinstruction when submitting their application to the Consular Section, High Commission of<strong>Malaysia</strong>:-SUBMISSION• The application must be submitted by the applicant personally to the High Commissionnot later than one (1) week before the date of departure. No representative oragent is allowed.• To fill in the <strong>Visa</strong> Form (IM.47.PIND.12/93) with applicant’s phone number written onthe top and attach two (2) recent passport photographs.• Valid passport for at least six (6) months from the expiry date and one (1) copy forreference.• Health Certificate (Yellow Fever Vaccination) and one (1) copy for reference.• Confirmed return air ticket to <strong>Malaysia</strong> for a two (2) weeks stay one (1) copy forreference.• Confirmed accommodation in <strong>Malaysia</strong> with full address.(a)Travelling to <strong>Malaysia</strong> for Business/Official Purposes• Letter of introduction from applicant’s company/office in Ghana stating the purposeof visit to <strong>Malaysia</strong>.• Applicant’s company registration and certificate to commence business and one (1)copy for reference.• Applicant’s company original bank statement of account for at least three (3) monthsprior to the date of application proving sufficient fund (not less than USD2,000.00)for the applicant’s intended stay in <strong>Malaysia</strong>.• Letter of invitation to <strong>Malaysia</strong> by <strong>Malaysia</strong>n business counterpart/company; officialagencies; organizer; the invitation letter must be sent directly either by post/faxto the Consular Section of the High Commission before the applicant submitstheir visa application.(b)Travelling to <strong>Malaysia</strong> for Social/Holiday• Letter of invitation to <strong>Malaysia</strong> by family, relatives or friends in <strong>Malaysia</strong> acting asreferee. The invitation letter must be sent directly either by post/fax to theConsular Section of the High Commission before the applicant submits theirvisa application.


• Applicant’s original bank statement of account at least three (3) months prior thedate of application proving sufficient fund (not less than USD2,000.00) duringapplicant’s stay in <strong>Malaysia</strong> or guarantee letter from a second party who will beresponsible for the applicant’s expenses during her/his stay in <strong>Malaysia</strong>.<strong>Visa</strong> Fee• <strong>Visa</strong> fee is based upon the original Country of the applicant or passport holderand fee as posted on the High Commission’s notice board (GHC6). Please ask forthe receipt after you make a payment.• Non-citizen residing in the Republic of Ghana must have RESIDENT PERMIT.Processing of Application• <strong>Visa</strong> application will be processed within two (2) working days from the datereceived and for Group <strong>Visa</strong>, within three (3) days.• Please ensure that all the necessary requirement and documents as stated aboveare duly complied with when submitting your application. Failure to do so maycause your application to be REJECTED or DELAYED.• Applicant may be interviewed by the Consular Officer for further assessmentshould the need arise.• The Consular Officer deserves the right to reject application that isincomplete or with false/ambiguous details.• Applicant is advised to retain the same documents as mentioned above in case ofquestioning by the Immigration Officer at the point of entry into <strong>Malaysia</strong> uponarrival.• <strong>Visa</strong> which has been granted is not absolute guarantee that the holder will beallowed to enter <strong>Malaysia</strong>.
