Ageneration that is creating <strong>the</strong> future. INTRODUCTIONBOBWEBSITES/BLOGSPUBLICATIONSWEBSTATSPEOPLEAWARDSCONTACT06PEOPLE<strong>Andrew</strong> <strong>Maynard</strong>directorIn 1996 <strong>Andrew</strong> <strong>Maynard</strong> received a Bachelordegree in Environmental Design from <strong>the</strong>University of Tasmania and in 1998 he graduatedwith honours in a Bachelor of Architecture from<strong>the</strong> same University.Between semesters in 1997 and 1998 <strong>Andrew</strong>worked for Allom Lovell <strong>Architects</strong>, Brisbanewhere he was involved in numerous innovativeheritage projects. Following his graduation in1998 he travelled throughout <strong>the</strong> United Statesand Europe. Upon return to Australia <strong>Andrew</strong>joined Woods Bagot Melbourne where hewas involved in <strong>the</strong> design of numerous, verylarge projects throughout Australia and SouthEast Asia. In 2000 he joined Six Degrees<strong>Architects</strong> undertaking residential, hospitality andinstitutional projects..In 2001 <strong>Andrew</strong> travelled throughout <strong>the</strong> UnitedStates, Europe and parts of Thailand. While inLondon he joined Charter <strong>Architects</strong> to work in<strong>the</strong> Richard Rogers Partnership on a collaborativeurban design project.Upon return to Melbourne in 2002 <strong>Andrew</strong> wentinto private practice undertaking commercial andresidential projects as well as numerous largeinternational design competitions.<strong>Andrew</strong> <strong>Maynard</strong> <strong>Architects</strong> has been publishedin journals such as <strong>the</strong> Architectural Record,Architectural Review [London], Monument,Houses, A+T [Spain], Architecture Australia,Wallpaper [London] and Pol Oxygen.<strong>Andrew</strong>’s conceptual and built work has beenexhibited in New York, Budapest, Melbourne,Sydney, Osaka, Milan, Sao Paulo, Tokyo and more.Kylie is a technical author who has written andcontributed to over 50 text books and teacherresources. Kyvvlie provides administration andoffice management to <strong>the</strong> office of <strong>Andrew</strong><strong>Maynard</strong> <strong>Architects</strong>.Brad graduated from Newcastle University in2005, after studying in Australia and at <strong>the</strong>AHO in Oslo. He is a talented designer withgreat technical skills. Brad is involved in mostparts of <strong>Andrew</strong> <strong>Maynard</strong>’s practice and isrunning a number of small projects.Cara has been heavily involved with studentorganisations at a uni and national level, forwhich she was awarded <strong>the</strong> RAIA StudentPrize for <strong>the</strong> Advancement of Architecture. Sheedited <strong>the</strong> national student architecture journal,terra, and has won awards for her photography.She now contributes to <strong>the</strong> ArchiCabel columnof is/not magazine.Mark is a fantastic architect and a great projectmanager. He is, like <strong>Andrew</strong> a staumvnchlyproud Tasmanian, who in his diverse career hasworked in a variety of capacities. Throughout hisarchitectural career Mark continues to show anincredible balance between design talent, andrigourous, pragmatic, technical and organisationalskills. He has a fine eye for details and isrespected by clients, consultants and builder forhis management skills.Matt is involved in most aspects of <strong>Andrew</strong><strong>Maynard</strong> <strong>Architects</strong>. His conceptual designshave been published locally and he has beeninvolved in a number of recent internationaldesign competitions.
