102SBACKHOE LOADER“High productivitythrough low fuelconsumption”ENGINEThe Maestro Series’ Perkins engine isone of the most economical and durablein its class. The turbocharged, 4.400cm³ engine maintains sufficient powereven at low rpm, and reaches its highesttorque value (400 Nm) at 1400 rpm. Thenew generation engine, compatible withUSA EPA Tier 3 and European EC StageIII-A exhaust gas emition regulations,combines low emission and low enginenoise in an enviromentally sensitivepackage which prevents disturbance andincreases operating comfort.TRANSMISSIONOne of the features that make theMaestro Series so powerful is the perfectmatching of the diesel engine with theheavy duty autoshift ZF transmissionwith a torque ratio of 2.87:1.The electro-hydraulic controlled standardautoshift transmission provides automaticand smooth shifting between 5 forwardand 3 reverse gears.Gear changes and forward-reverse driveare achieved quickly and easily via agearshift lever mounted on the steeringcolumn. This system offers ergonomicease of use without putting strain on theoperator.Four wheel drive increases traction indifficult conditions and provides highmobility. It also switches off automaticallyin 3 rd , 4 th and 5 th gears to improve fueleconomy.

BACKHOE LOADERAXLESTire spin is minimized by heavy-duty front andrear axles which are designed specifically for theMaestro Series. An oscillation angle of 16° ofthe front axle delivers excellent ground contactand provides operation stability. The rear axlecontains oil immersed type discs to provide longservice life with no maintenance or adjustmentrequired.HYDRAULIC SYSTEMOpen Centre hydraulic system is using simpleand reliable high efficiency tandem gear pumpwhich is coupled directly to the transmissionto increase pump life and prevent power loss.Capable of delivering 154 lt/min (90 lt/min + 64lt/min) total oil flow at 2200 engine rpm, the gearpump can produce the high pressures neededfor years of high efficiency operation and lowmaintanance costs.Variable – flow , closed center, regenerative flowsharing (Flowcharger) hydraulic system with axialpiston pump which provides highest breakoutforces at all engine speeds and delivers 163 lt/min is offered as an option.TRAVEL SPEED AND FUELECONOMYDriving into material stacks is made easier by theloader through the use of 1st gear which providesincreased torque. A maximum travel speed 40km/h decreases the time spent on the road.The optimized gear of 5 speed transmissionallow smooth hill climbing without loss in powerwith better fuel economy.
