In partnership with over 25 area museums, historic houses, theatres and performing arts venues, galleries, gardens, tours and nonprofitattractions, the Discover Portsmouth Center is your gateway to culturalPortsmouth. Our goal is to orient visitors and residents alike to the eclecticdiversity of this seaside community, to encourage you to explore a while andexperience first-hand all that our charming city has to offer. We are also home to The Portsmouth Black Heritage Trail which worksto preserve the history and culture of the African-American community in thePortsmouth region and offers a self-guided walking tour map of the area.In collaboration with the Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce,we work to promote the city as a national historic and cultural destination.7
