Chemical Resistance<strong>SikaGard</strong> ® -6650 is resistantagainst water, seawater, saltspray, oil, soft bases and acids.The above information is offeredfor general guidance only. Adviceon specific applications will begiven on request.Method of ApplicationSurface preparationSurfaces must be clean, dry, rust-,dust- and grease free.Advice on specific applications isavailable from the Technical ServiceDepartment of Sika Industry.Application<strong>SikaGard</strong> ® -6650 can be applied bylight airless spray equipment or byair-mix pistol with an air pressureof approx. 3-6 bar.Shake can before use. Spray atroom temperature and from adistance of approximately 30 cm ina X motion. Spray a continuouscoat. Apply this product until thedesired layer thickness is reached.If a thicker layer is required, it isrecommended to let layers dry inbetween.RemovalFresh <strong>SikaGard</strong> ® -6650 must beimmediately removed with hotwater. Once dried, the material canonly be removed mechanically.Hands and exposed skin should bewashed immediately using Sika ®Handclean towels or a suitableindustrial hand cleaner and water.Do not use solvents!OverpaintingAfter drying, <strong>SikaGard</strong> ® -6650 isoverpaintable with most commonlyused conventional and waterbasedpaint systems.It can be mixed with water-basedlacquers up to 30%.
