THE WHITE HOUSEOffice of the Press Secretary________________________________________________________________For Immediate Release July 14, 2015STATEMENT BY THE PRESIDENT ON IRANState FloorTHE PRESIDENT: Today, after two years of negotiations, theUnited States, together with our international partners, hasachieved something that decades of animosity has not -- acomprehensive, long-term deal with Iran that will prevent itfrom obtaining a nuclear weapon. This deal demonstrates that American diplomacy can bringabout real and meaningful change -- change that makes ourcountry, and the world, safer and more secure.
