Life Skills ProgramIntelligence Testing andPersonality AssessmentCareer GuidanceStd. IXAll human beings withaverage intelligence arecapable of living a full,productive and happy life,provided they develop theskills to cope with life’schallenges. These skills aretermed as life-skills. Thisprogram is aimed at helpingthe children to deal effectivelywith the demands andchallenges of everyday life.Psychometric testing isconducted if the child is notperforming according to hisage level in spite of sustainedefforts by the student, parentsor teachers.Personality testing may beadvised for students who seemto have problems settlingdown.Thousands of children leavethe school every year and findthemselves at the crossroadsof higher education. Thedecision they make is crucialto their lives as it helps themcarve a career for themselves.The “Lions-Quest Skills forAdolescence Curriculum”, aprogram of Lions ClubInternational is implementedfor students of class 7. Itcomprises of - Entering teenyears, Building selfconfidenceandcommunication skills,Managing emotions inpositive ways, Improving peerrelationships, Strengtheningfamily relationships, Livinghealthy and drug-free andSetting goals for healthyliving.The child is referred to aregistered psychologist forPsychometric testing andassessment.Through this program weconduct Aptitude, Interest,Intelligence and PersonalityTesting to help our childrenchoose the right road byhelping them to understandtheir own aptitude, interestand personality.Parenting(Transition from Childhood toAdulthood)The present generations ofparents face difficulties indealing with their children. Toease this pressure and toensure a positive relationshipbetween the child and theparent we conduct theParenting workshops.Experts from the field ofParenting/ counselorsthemselves conductworkshops which talk aboutAssertive Parenting, dealingwith discipline issues at homeor in school.
