Prior to his appointment at <strong>Mercedes</strong>‐<strong>Benz</strong> <strong>India</strong>, <strong>Dr</strong>. <strong>Aulbur</strong> was the ExecutiveAssistant of the Head of <strong>Mercedes</strong> Car Group (2003 to 2005). In this position, <strong>Dr</strong>. <strong>Aulbur</strong>provided support in various strategic and operational initiatives within the global <strong>Mercedes</strong>Car Group organization.Between 2000 and 2002, <strong>Dr</strong>. <strong>Aulbur</strong> headed the Business Development and Strategyfunction at the <strong>Mercedes</strong>‐<strong>Benz</strong> Research & Development Centre <strong>India</strong> (Bangalore). Prior tothis assignment, he held positions in Germany at Airbus and at the Daimler Headquarter aswell as in the US at Chrysler Corporation.Page 1
<strong>Dr</strong>. <strong>Aulbur</strong> did his undergraduate and graduate studies in Europe and the US. He earned hisPh.D in Physics from the Ohio State University, USA in 1996 and subsequently worked as apost‐doctoral researcher at the University of California and the Ohio State University in theareas of Semiconductors, Computational Material Science and Solid State Physics. <strong>Dr</strong>. <strong>Aulbur</strong>has over 50 presentations and publications to his credit across a range of topics fromKnowledge Management, Intellectual Capital Management and Communities of Practice toComputational and Solid State Physics.Apart from his professional connection to <strong>India</strong>, <strong>Dr</strong>. <strong>Aulbur</strong> also has close personal ties to<strong>India</strong>, being married since 1997 to <strong>Dr</strong>.
