Then follow the steps below.WHO AM I ?Click the Career Planning tab and then click the Learn About Yourself section. Complete the followingassessments and list your results. After viewing your results, click on the list of related careers. Write down a fewcareers that sound interesting to you. Your assessment results will also be stored in Your Portfolio.AssessmentResultsInterest ProfilerWork Values SorterNow that you know your values and top interest areas, narrow your search further. Click the Career Planning taband then the Explore Careers section. Under Career Exploration Tools, choose the Career Finder. Choosecriteria from the list of characteristics – include your assessment results. Once you’ve narrowed your list of careers,list your two favorite careers, below. Read the career article to include information on the postsecondary educationthat is required:Career Name Type of Education Needed Program or MajorWHERE AM I GOING ?Once you have a career in mind, it’s time to choose a program or major and a school. This may involve college, anapprenticeship, a training program, the military or on-the-job training.To begin exploring, click the College Planning tab and then Explore Programs and Majors. If you have a specificprogram in mind, search for it using the Alphabetical List. If you haven’t chosen a specific program, chooseBrowse Programs and Majors by Clusters. HOW WILL I GET THERE ?Click on the College Planning tab and then click the Explore Postsecondary Schools section. Under SchoolExploration tools, click the School Finder. Choose the criteria that are important to you to generate a focused listof schools. Click Save next to your favorites to store them in your portfolio. Then, list a few below, along with theircosts.SchoolCostsCollege is expensive. Click the Financial Aid Planning tab, and then click the Calculators section. Use theCollege Savings Calculatoro evaluate how much you would need to save in order to attend the college of your choicein four years (as if you were a high school freshmen) or in 12 years (as if you are a first grade student.)Four-year monthly savings plan: ________________12-year monthly savings plan: _______________Scholarships:Chances are, you’ll need some extra funding in order to pay for college. Click the Financial Aid Planning tab andthen Scholarships to find scholarships that are a good match for you.
