He connectedto OSCAR, the robot at SaintJoseph East, from his homeoffice to visit his post-op bariatricsurgery patients on the4th floor medical-surgicalunit. Dr. Steiner also is usingOSCAR as a teaching tool.On June 13, the chief of bariatricsurgery at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore,Md., connected to the robotso his residents could observeDr. Steiner performing a gastricbypass procedure. The flexibility ofdriving and maneuvering the robotenables this to be an effectiveteaching experience.4
