HOW DO WE APPROPRIATE FAITH?a. Locate the promise in God’s Word that fits the need.Philippians 4:19: “For all the promises of God in Him areYes, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”II Corinthians 1:20b Fulfill all the conditions attached to that need. Isaiah 1: 19-20;Psalm 37:5: “Commit your way unto the Lord; trust also inHim; and He shall bring it to pass.”c. With patience, accept the trying of your faith and God’s’ testingof your faith in the Word. Hebrews 6:12-15; Psalm 105:19;James 1:3-4: “Knowing, that the testing of your faithproduces patience. But let patience have its perfect work,that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”d. We must firmly and positively claim the fulfillment of thepromise. II Peter 1:3-4. Our confession should always be inharmony with God’s Word. Hebrews 3:1; I John 5:14: “Now thisis the confidence that we have in Him, that if we askanything according to His will, He hears us.”Actively appropriating faith is one of the keys to a victoriousChristian life. “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher ofour faith. ” Hebrews 12:214 F O U N D A T I O N T R U T H
