As an experiment in world-generation, the author assembled two proto-nodes. Sealed off with water and daily indirect sunlight, a system consisting of Ecovative’s eco-foam, moss and lab-quality fungal spores was tasked with falling into an equilibrium. Initially the moss faded away to a brown color and the system NOOSPHERE - 026
ecame a fuzzy world of fungi. However, the moss was resilient enough to survive to a time when the CO 2 levels rose via the fungus’s metabolic processes. After a few weeks, green sprouted in the moss (left), month later, the fungus is on the decline as the moss grows back. Closure: 12-22-14 - present. NOOSPHERE - 027
