The key to a great investment portfolio is diversification…not puttingall your eggs in one basket. While this is sound advice for handlingyour finances, it’s not how Jesus Christ taught His Church to live. Hisinvitation was to leave everything, and follow Him. The deal is all of usfor all of Him (great deal). As believers, we do not hedge our bets. We do not put part of our liveswith Jesus, another with our career and another with our families. We are to go all in with Jesus. In fact, it’s not until we go all in thatwe will really begin to experience the life He has for us (John 12:24;James 1:6-8) and we’ll discover what the Psalmist said was true, “Your(God’s) steadfast love is better than life” (Psalm 63:3). We’ll be likethe early church who let go of their personal ambitions and dreamsbecause they knew they had a “better possession and an abiding one”(Hebrews 10:34).As we continue to move forward in His leading and guiding, I wantto encourage us to go “all in” and not hold back. Together, we willexperience the faithfulness of God and the fruit of God. Let yourhearts be encouraged by the most recent stories and ministry of Godthrough Jubilee Church.bryan mowrey | jubilee church | lead pastor

life changeWe want people to connect with Jesus. This is our passion. This is the reason we exist. We hope that when people attend a service or a community group theyexperience a lot of things: hospitality, community, warmth and vision, toname a few. However, on the top of our wish list is that people connect withJesus. This is our passion. This is the reason we exist. One touch from Jesuscan make all the difference in the world. Here are a few stories of how God is changing lives at Jubilee…salvationI was at church and the speaker asked for those of us who felt that Jesus1was tapping us on the shoulder to raise hands. He prayed for us. Whathappened was like the soft, oscillating wings of a white dove: waves of Peace,Grace, and Love flowed down on me. The following week I asked for prayer. Itwas as if I was on fire for God, literally, from the inside out! From that momentforward, my faith in God and my walk in Christ was renewed and restored. I feltcalled to get baptized two weeks later, bringing me to where I am at today. Iknow that I am redeemed in Him, and that I walk with Christ!bas de vuyst | st. louis city2After going through a lot of trials including being homeless, incarcerated, and severe depression, I gave my life to Jesus. I’ve been through a lot withno one to help or turn to. I trusted God, repented, and surrendered my life toJesus. God has changed my heart and my life, from living on the streets to livingfor Him.tony smith, jr. | st. louis city3 A friend of mine opened my eyes to just how evil our world has become. Some of the things he pointed out really made me question my “I willdo that later” attitude. I soon began praying daily, seeking the Lord’s help andforgiveness for the sinful life I had been leading. My relationship with the Lordis now the most important thing in my life. The opportunity the Lord has laid infront of each and every one of us is simply amazing. I am absolutely thrilled todeclare Jesus my Lord and Savior.123t.j. grannemann | washington1

Jubilee Church | Annual Report | July 1, 2014-June 30, 2015life changeGrowing up I would do the right things, but had an evil heart. When people4would do bad things to me I wanted to retaliate, but I wouldn’t because Ihad a reputation of being the good guy. My junior year of high school I becamea Christian. I thought I had to do something to earn my salvation. I learned Goddidn’t need me to do anything. He just wanted me to receive His love and grace. Now, I know it’s time to follow Jesus and get baptized.brandon burdick | washington4encountering God5Through Revive Group, God began to transform my heart. I finally feltlike my chains were gone as He spoke over me that my past says nothingabout who I am, but it says everything about who God is. He made my heartcome alive. He revealed a beautiful gift in me: the gift of expression throughpoetry. At the end of Revive I wrote my psalm and since then, God completelyreleased this gift of sharing my story and what He has done in my life!5denise davis | st. louis cityAt the beginning of this year, I was feeling rather down because of family6issues. I was invited to go to Mobilise USA and while I was there, Godspoke through people I didn’t even know to pull me out of the crowd and tell meHe cared for me and was watching over me. God has given me the desire to tryto find out how He wants me to serve Him. He has given me the strength to followHim in a hard time of life. He has given me the desire to live for Him and Hehas helped me to see Him as a Father and other Christians as family in Him.6james harr | washington7Once I started attending Jubilee, I joined a Community Group and went toseveral events. But as time went on, I started to feel shame for the things Idid in the past. I kept wondering why God had chosen me. It really started to eataway at me, but I just hid my pain. A few weeks into Revive, there was a chapteron forgiveness. After reading the chapter, I knew that God had forgiven me ofmy past, but I was not forgiving myself. It was like God was standing there withHis arms open, and I was keeping him at arms-length. When I realized this, I feltbroken, and I desperately wanted God to put his arms around me. I desired Hisgrace.mike broombaugh | st. louis city72

serving the cityWe serve not to convert, but because we have beenconverted. We believe the church exists to be a witness to the life of Jesus. One of theways we can do this is to seek not to be served, but to serve (Mark 10:45).That is why we are so passionate about engaging the world around us byserving our city.We serve our cities through official programs like Crisis Help and more, but we also serve in a more organic way as members of Jubilee Churchliving out the calling of Jesus. Moreover, every Community Group memberat Jubilee typically engages in a service project at least three times a year.As we serve, we should expect the world around us to see our good deedsand glorify our Father (1 Peter 2:12).buder elementry1Jubilee has been an immeasurable asset to Buder Elementary this year. We are so thankful for theteens who came to help in classrooms and tutor students. The Christmas store Jubilee put on for ourfamilies in need blessed so many children, words cannot express our gratitude. We are very much lookingforward to partnering with Jubilee again next year!michelle gaskin | family & community engagement specialistharvest table2Harvest Table is so grateful for your great group and the generosity of your members sponsoring fourmeals per year. uilding communityWe believe that life is a team sport. Therefore, buildingcommunity is integral to all that we do.Community Groups are groups of 10-15 people that provide an environmentto connect relationally, serve others and grow in our relationship with Jesus. Our hope is that everyone in our church would become a part of a CommunityGroup in order that we may grow stronger as a community of believers.community groupsAs a newcomer to Jubilee, Community Group helps me build personal1relationships in an intimate setting outside of church. I appreciate theCommunity Group’s diversity. The wide range of ages, experiences and points ofview make for interesting and, many times, lively discussions. These discussionsgive us the opportunity to reflect on and then apply the week’s message andscriptures to our lives. From the discussions to the social events, CommunityGroup fellowship is a welcome mid-week respite.kim young | washingtonBeing part of a Community Group has given me a group of friends that I2trust and can confide in! I was having trouble keeping my spiritual cup fullbetween Sundays. Even with reading my bible and listening to Christian music,I still found myself lacking. But, being able to be around others and talk abouteverything, good or bad, has helped me open up and start to realize a lot of mysins I wasn’t aware of. I know the others in the group will always do what they canto help me live in Christ and keep my cup full!joseph steward | lake ozarkThrough work, I met a couple of people who invited me to church at3Jubilee. On my first Sunday I was immediately invited to their CommunityGroup and I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to be in community with. They were so welcoming, and accepting; they made me feel like part of the groupright away. It has been such a blessing to have Christian friends who love andsupport me. Without this group of people, my transition to living back homewould have been much less pleasant. Community Group gives me somethingconstructive and wonderful to look forward to every week.alyssa lehenbauer | lake ozark1237432adults participated in aCommunity Group this past year.

Jubilee Church | Annual Report | July 1, 2014-June 30, 2015building community4As a family, we were looking for a church that teaches the word of Godwith love and without compromise to be part of. Our Community Grouphas been a huge blessing to us and they made our decision to be members ofJubilee very easy. In their company, we have grown in grace and in the knowledgeof God’s word. It’s been over a year now since we started attending Jubilee andthe experience keeps getting better!benjamin and blessing ojie | st. louis cityWhen we started attending Jubilee Church last September, we began5spending Wednesday nights with a bunch best described as motley. OurCommunity Group had singles, marrieds, blacks, whites, screaming kids, set-inour-waysfolks in our sixties (us) and, best of all, Jesus. It wasn’t long before wedrew closer to each other as what Peter said were living stones built into God’stemple. We all developed real relationships, and not just the plug-in variety thatends when you leave the building. We haven’t arrived yet, but we’ve had a smalltaste of the unity the Christians sensed after the first Pentecost.jim and lorraine merkel | st. louis city6 Several people invited me to their Community Groups - and were genuinelyexcited about my coming. I was so overwhelmed by the welcome that Idecided to try one out. I was actually terrified the first time I went to CommunityGroup. I resolved to just keep my mouth shut. By my second week at the group, though, I was completely overcome by how honest, loving, and vulnerableeveryone was, and everything just came spilling out. Suddenly, people who I’dnever met before knew about my messy life, and they loved me in spite of it. God,I knew, was at work. He’s blessed me with a group of people who I already countas family. They challenge me, care for me, and point me toward Christ. When Ifeel their love, I feel His- and I am in awe of it.brittany gerke | st. louis city4568

valuing childrenWe desire to create a fun and engaging environmentwhere kids can experience and learn about the goodnessof Jesus and the wonders of God’s love.Jesus said, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to suchbelongs the kingdom of God.” -Mark 10:14jkidsJkids was the perfect opportunity for us to not only serve in the church,1but to also help teach our children about Jesus. We have enjoyed gettingto know all of their personalities. The kids are amazing little people that love tolearn. Jkids has brought my family closer to God. Not only do my husband and Iget to teach together, but Jesus is no longer a stranger in our house. Our kids loveto pray and talk about Jesus all of the time! Knowing that we are fulfilling ourneed to serve at Jubilee and teach the preschool about God is such an awesomefeeling!1jay and brittany leavens | lake ozark jkids teachers2Working with the Jkids preschoolers is both energizing and challenging. The challenge is important for growing and stretching me as a teacher andcommunicator, and working with the preschoolers is a constant reminder to me ofthe simplicity of the gospel, that truth is indeed for everyone, and that very youngchildren have the capacity to hear God’s voice.brenna swoboda | washington jkids teacherBeing a Coordinator for Jkids in the 3rd-5th-grade classroom has been3and still is a privilege and a delight. We were so thrilled when Bryanannounced plans to launch Jubilee’s 4th location in Kirkwood. We are excitedthat God is expanding His kingdom through Jubilee into another region. Wehope that by removing some of the distance barrier, more of our un-churchedfriends will connect with Jubilee and with Jesus.dan and abbie nadolny | kirkwoodWe are eager to see what God does once the Kirkwood Location launches!2We’ve seen firsthand a need for deeper gospel revelation in our part of St.Louis. We have a lot of faith for people to grow in service and community as aresult of others serving Kirkwood. This new location is so important because itrequires every single one of us, those sending and those being sent, to be selfless. We know through this new season, God will increase faith and vision in all of usand therefore strengthen Jubilee as a whole.mitch and martha lewis | kirkwoodJubilee has constantly been a church with a leadership team willing and3ready to make significant changes when God speaks. In each of these situations, big changes often felt uncomfortable, even painful at first, but each timeGod fulfilled His promise and the church body responded with worship and encouragement.Being a part of a church that starts new things means consistentlyfeeling unsettled and unsatisfied with where we are. God wants a big family, andin these times of transition the church body has an opportunity to be stretched, take on new responsibility, and spend a lot of time praying. We want to thank oureldership team for pushing forward.alex and maria kerford | st. louis city12214

Jubilee Church | Annual Report | July 1, 2014-June 30, 2015location developmentgrowing in eldershiplocation developmentOne of my greatest hopes for Jubilee Church is that we continue to be1obedient to God’s word and the Holy Spirit’s promptings to make disciplesof all peoples in all communities, cultures and geographic locations. As anelder and Community Group leader, having the regular opportunity to meetwith friends, brothers, and sisters is a pleasure, privilege and most satisfying.Being involved in members’ lives on a regular basis allow’s me to pray, serve andhopefully care for them as Jesus would. Having opportunities to pastor thosewithin my various spheres of influence provides me with glimpses of how Godintersects in our lives to take them from chaos to peace.matt holz | washington location elder2I love the Jubilee Church family. I’ve been here since the beginning and Ican honestly say that being a part of this church family has been one ofthe biggest joys, and also a catalysts for growth in my life. My hope for JubileeChurch is that we will continue to grow in God’s love! I know that God has bigthings for us together, in seeing His kingdom advance in our region. One of myfavorite things about serving and pastoring people is seeing God work throughbroken, messed-up people. God invites all of us into His kingdom, not just tospectate, or kick back and wait for heaven, but to be participants in serving eachother and serving our towns! I love serving a church family like that!seth hein | lake ozark location pastor3 As a younger leader, I am especially thankful for a patient church thathas graciously allowed me to get my feet wet in preaching and teaching.I find it a massive privilege and joy to publicly preach the gospel of grace, andI’m humbled by the response to God’s word. I think even more than preaching,I enjoy praying with friends, and waiting on God as He begins to speak andminister to us in prayer. Often times our Wednesday morning prayer meetingsare the highlight of my week. Typically, 25-30 of us gather to call on God, andthen see God so often answer those very prayers by the time Sunday morningrolls around. I am grateful to do it all with friends, not just “church members”, butbrothers and sisters, and truly partners in this gospel of amazing grace.123dillon neely | st. louis city location pastor16
