However, when one is filled with the Spirit theHoly Spirit becomes PRESIDENT in the believer as he is allowedto lead and direct the life of the believer with power and authority.At the New Birth you get the Holy Spirit. In Spirit Baptism,the Holy Spirit gets you. The Spirit became a resident within youwith the express purpose of becoming president.Jesus’ death on the cross is the basis for your forgiveness andnew birth. Jesus’ ascension and glorification are the basis on whichthe Holy Spirit is given to you. You were saved by dependingon the death of Christ. You receive the power of the Spirit bydepending on the ascension of Christ. And ever since Christ wasglorified and the Spirit was given on the day of Pentecost, everybeliever may be filled with the Spirit.In the new birth, God imparts DIVINE LIFE. Jesus said inJohn 3:5 unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enterthe kingdom of God. In Spirit Baptism,God imparts DIVINE POWER TO BECOME ANEMPOWERED FUNCTIONING CHRISTIAN.Jesus said in Acts 1:8 “You shall receive POWER whenthe Holy Spirit has come upon you.” And in Luke 24:49 he said“Behold I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you;
