Description<strong>Bolsover</strong> <strong>School</strong> was completely rebuilt in an exciting newphase of the Building <strong>School</strong>s for the Future Programme.Achieving comfortable acoustics in learningenvironments can be a real challenge. To achieve theright reverberation levels in an open space, OptimaWall Canopies were specified in the school hall.Optima Wall Canopies were also installed in corridorarea’s in order to minimise interference, so pupils werenot disturbed during lessons.The acoustic performance of the music room was anotherchallenge! It was important that sound from this room didnot travel into adjoining spaces. The solution was to installPerla Board tiles as they offered a winning balance ofhigh sound absorption combined with excellent soundattenuation qualities.
