CIE is celebrating the 75 th anniversary of the 1931 System of Colorimetry and will publish a
book “CIE Colorimetry 1931 – 2006” to commemorate this. Schanda explained that the
book will include chapters on history, fundamentals of colorimetry in CIE 15:2004, spectral
color measurement, tristimulus colorimetry, uncertainty in color measurement,
physiologically-based colorimetry, color difference metrics, color appearance models,
image analysis, color management, and future prospects. Schanda asked for any further
Symposium in May 2006.
