He served for many years on numerous committees onenvironmental noise standards and prediction methods. As a result he gained extensive experience inthe theory and application of national and international prediction models for road traffic, aircraft,railway, industrial noise and noise control techniques. He became engaged in a large number ofenvironmental impact studies in the mining, transport and industrial field, and started his own acousticconsultancy in 1999, specialising in noise measurement, prediction and control. Since then he hasbeen the noise specialist and team member for some of the foremost environmental consultants on alarge number of projects. Other clients include several large enterprises in the mining, manufacturing,power generating and fuel production field.
