Friends – that is the right word. Which 

other word could we use when speaking 

of our colleagues to whom we are happy 

to offer the best of Prague, the Czech 

Republic and Slovakia every year? And 

friendship – it is mainly the reliability at 

any time. 


The hundred-tower city, situated on the Vltava River, has been making 

the heart beating of poets, painters and photographers faster and higher 

for centuries. It is the religious, cultural, administrative, economical and 

industrial centre of the Czech Republic. For a thousand years Prague has 

been the capital city of the Kingdom and the Republic, the seat of sovereigns 

and archbishops. The history of this city often becomes the history 

of the state. It was founded as a settlement near the castle, Hradčany, 

and later also near Vyšehrad. First in the 1230s it got the rights of a 

town and in the 14th century – in the time of the emperor Charles IV – it 

became an independent agglomeration of the Prague towns and it was 

one of the most important cities in the Christian world. The first university 

in the area in the North of the Alps and the large construction group 

had their seats there. One quarter of the millennium later in the time of 

the emperor Rudolf II Prague became the City of Artists, Scientists and 

educated Rabbis. And so it came to the Baroque, the time of the church 

domes, the palace yards and gardens that even today give the typical 

face to the historical city whose time could be measured by the antique 

Old-Town Astronomical clock. 

In this city there were the celebratory coronation ceremonies, the operas 

by Mozart and the concerts by Beethoven to watch and hear, and later also 

the music by Dvořák and Mahler. The dark and lyrical Prague of Kafka, 

Rilke or Meyrink was the place where Čapek made up his robots, Hašek 

his burlesque, surreal soldier Švejk and where elderly Masaryk and young 

Einstein made their first steps into the times of art nouveau. And the 

city followed its path, despite all the wars, crises and unfriendly political 

regimes, so that nowadays it can enjoy such glory which it has never had 

before. 

The Czech Republic introduces itself 

Just a short look at a map tells you that the Czech Republic is really in 

the heart of Europe. It is a country of short distances; there is no place 

inside the country that would be more than 150 km far from the borders. 

Even though there is no see in the Czech Republic, it isn’t far away to 

those ones in Europe. This country has a very rich and dramatic history, 

to be more specific – it is a country that joined its history with other 

countries, with their cultural and artistic tradition and it weren’t only the 

thousands and thousands of towns, castles, chateaux or religious buildings 

in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia which were influenced by it but it 

also formed the face of the cultural landscape of the Bohemian lands. 

Thanks to the newly gained democratic circumstances the for long years 

broken traditional contacts to the next-door neighbors – Germany and 

Austria – as well as to further Western countries could be renewed and 

deepen. 

The number of foreign tourists coming to the Czech Republic has rapidly 

grown during the last years. Many of them even come back after their 

first visit, so that they can use all the various opportunities that the 

Czech Republic offers. Its main advantage is the richness and variety of

1. Meeting Prague 

for the First Time I 

length: 4 hours, ½-hour round trip by bus + 3 

½ hours walkabout 

You will get a general overview of the city and 

going to see its most important sight – the 

Prague Castle. Across the Charles Bridge you will 

get to the Old Town Square and your walkabout 

will end with watching the biggest attraction – 

the Astronomical Clock. 

2. Meeting Prague for the First 

Time II 

length: 2 x 4 hours, 2 x ½ hour round trip by 

bus + 3 ½ hours walkabout 

2a: After a short sightseeing tour by bus you 

will walk through the narrow beautiful streets 

of the Old Town. You will pass the Old Town hall 

with the Astronomical Clock on your way to the 

Charles Bridge where you can make a wish at the 

well-known statue of Saint John of Nepomuk. 

The tour will end in the Wenceslas Square, the 

most important square of the New Town.

2b: In the afternoon or on the next day, which 

is better actually, you will see the sights of the 

Prague Castle – the Monastery Strahov – from 

there you can enjoy a wonderful view of the 

hundred-tower city. When getting closer to the 

Prague Castle you will pass the place of pilgrimage 

– the Loreto with its famous Jewellery 

Chamber and at the end you will get to the pearl 

of the Gothic style – St. Vitus Cathedral. After 

that you will go to the adorable Golden Lane. Of 

course, you will be reminded of the beginning of 

the 30-year war in Prague – as you will see the 

place of the Prague defenestration.

3. The Prague Castle

An enlarged detailed offer for the ones who love 

art and history. Sightseeing tour of all of the 

rooms that are open to the public (3 Courtyards,

Place of Prague defenestration, St. Vitus Cathedral 

and its crypt, St. Wenceslas Chapel and the 

Tower, the Powder Tower, Basilica of St. George,

The sight that deserves your attention is the Old 

Jewish Cemetery and the grave of Rabbi Löw.

you can see the gorgeous Spanish Synagogue 

built in Moorish Style.

5. Sightseeing around the 

Lesser Town and historical gardens 


The Lesser Town is one of the oldest and most 

interesting parts of the city. You will see the 

largest and most impressive Baroque Church in 

Prague – St. Nicholas’s Church, Church of Our 

Lady Victorious and the Infant Jesus of Prague, 

the Embassy of Germany, famous for the events 

in 1989, the most beautiful island of all the 8 

ones in Prague, Kampa, Wallenstein Palace and 

its Garden and the peak – Baroque Vrtba Garden 

with a lot of statues and the gorgeous view of 

Hradčany.

The second Prague Castle whose history is full of 

mystic legends. You will see the Capitular Church 

of St. Peter and Paul and the national Cemetery 

of Honour. 


6f: Martinic Palace 

An example of European art and living standard 

in Renaissance. In the mews of the Martinic Palace 

you can visit the museum of historical musical 

machines, mechanical gramophones, phonographs 

dating back to the years 1870-1940. Each 

of the samples can be played on.

6i: Mirror Labyrinth Petřín 

The mirror labyrinth on the hill of Petřín is a 

replica of a Gothic Gate which was built in the 

14th century during the reign of Charles IV. As 

the inspiration for the building they used the 

mirror labyrinth in Vienna Prater. In the labyrinth 

in Prague you can fi nd 31 ordinary mirrors 

and 16 deformed ones. 


6j: Look-out Tower Petřín 

The 60-meter-high tower was built in 1891 as 

a smaller replica of the famous Eiffel Tower in

13 th Century and was rebuilt in the 16 th Century, 

and also the old town whose important sight 

is the late Gothic St. Vitus Church from 1407 – 

1439, as well as a lot of valuable Renaissance 

houses and the Town Hall. After the sightseeing 

tour you will leave for Rožmberk. The Middle- 

Age Castle from the 13 th Century (in 1850s it 

went through large pseudo Gothic rebuilding) is 

thanks to its armory and picture gallery is one of 

the most interesting architectural monuments in 

Southern Bohemia. After a short break your trip 

continues in the direction of České Budějovice, 

your end station of this day. The metropolis 

of Southern Bohemia isn’t known only thanks 

to its Budweiser beer – Budvar but also for its 

square shaped main square which is one of the 

largest in Europe and at the same time it is an

the Town Hall, the Samson Well and the walkthrough

Day 4: České Budějovice – 

Jinřichův Hradec – Telč – Brno 

On your way to the town of Telč you will go via 

famous town of Jinřichův Hradec. It is attractive 

thanks to its large complex of a Renaissance 

Chateau with 3 courtyards which arose through 

rebuilding of the original early Gothic castle. 

The town is also praised thanks to its old 

churches in the square and in the close streets 

as well as to dozens of old citizen houses built 

in Renaissance or Baroque style. After lunch 

you will leave Jinřichův Hradec and take the 

direction of Telč. This town doesn’t need to be 

introduced to travelling experts. Since 1992 it 

has been under the UNESCO protection and you 

can admire the Gothic arcades with blue, red or 

rose painted Renaissance facades and Baroque 

gables as well as the fountains, pillars and a 

wonderful chateau. Dinner and accommodation

Day 5: Brno – Lednice – Valtice 

– Brno

Chateau of Lednice. It got its today look in the 

years 1846 – 1856 and it arose on the place 

of a castle and a later Baroque chateau. Richly 

carved wooden ceilings and beautiful furniture

ornament shapes are very well preserved. After 

a short break you will get to little town of 

Valtice where there are large wine cellars, one 

of the most remarkable Baroque parish churches 

and a Chateau, once powerful place which was 

owned by the Lichtenstein princes. Dinner and

Day 6: Brno – Žďár nad Sázavou – 

Kutná Hora – Prague 

After breakfast departure – after approximately 

one hour you will get to the town of Žďár nad 

Sázavou. For the visitors most interesting 

things are concentrated on the area of former 

Cistercian monastery founded in 1252. Although 

it was destroyed during the Hussite wars, it 

experienced new, if not its greatest bloom in the 

18 th Century. The other target – Kutná Hora was 

the second most important city in Bohemia and 

an occasional seat of Bohemian kings during the 

Middle Ages. The highlight of the town is the 

Gothic St. Barbara Cathedral. However, St. Jacob 

Church, the Italian Court and the small castle 

Hrádek are also worth seeing. As a highlight of 

your sightseeing tour you will visit the district 

of Sedlec where there is cemetery chapel 

with ossuary (there are bones of about 10000 

dead people from the 14 th century). After the 

arrival in Prague you will take part in a night 

sightseeing tour by bus through the centre. The 

illuminated city introduces itself from the other

Hluboká Chateau. Hluboká chateau is situated on 

the place of original castle from the 13 th Century 

which was rebuilt by Bohemian king Přemysl

chateau during a large rebuilding in the years 

1840 – 1871 which made it into a replica of 

the English royal residence Windsor. Afterwards 

you will go to Renaissance Chateau in Třeboň,

reach the pilgrimage place of Velehrad – one of 

the most important pilgrimage places in Central

Day 3: Kyjov – Znojmo – Nový 

Šaldorf – Šatov – Hnanice – Kyjov 

This day will be about wine. After a short 

sightseeing tour of the historical town centre 

with Romanesque Rotunda, the parish church 

of St. Nicolas and late Gothic Bastion you will 

leave the town of Znojmo and take the direction 

of the South. On the famous wine journey you 

will visit the wine area of Nový Šaldorf with 

800-meter-long cellar and with a wine press, the 

village of Šatov with well-known Moravian and 

painted cellars, the village of Hnanice with the 

early gothic pilgrimage church of St. Wolfgang. 

You can have an opportunity to taste one of 

the excellent wines in one of the comfortable 

cellars. In the protection area of the National 

Park of the Dyje River valley the winding stream

You will start this day with the visit of the 

UNESCO town of Kroměříž with its historical 

centre and beautiful park areas. After the 

sightseeing tour you will leave for Baroque 

metropolis of the Czech Republic and the centre 

of Haná region. In Olomouc among others 

you can see the ruins of the brick walls of the 

prince palace of the oldest Bohemian royal 

family, St. Wenceslas Cathedral, the town hall

castle of Bouzov, the castle of Teutonic Knights 

from the year 1300. In the years 1895 – 1912 

the castle was rebuilt by George Hauberrisser, 

the architect of the city-hall in Munich, in the 

late romantic neo-gothic style and partly also 

in neo-renaissance style. A lot of indoor rooms 

were decorated after Art Nouveau in Vienna. 

Afterwards you will go to the mountains of Jeseníky, 

also called High Jeseníky, with 1492 m high 

mountain of Praděd. From there you can enjoy 

a wonderful view of the valley. After your return 

you will end the day with dinner in your hotel.

Your trip on this day takes you at fi rst to the 

town of Pardubice which is famous for its 

traditional ginger bread production and the 

most diffi cult horse racetrack in Europe. The 

second aim of the day is Kutná Hora which was 

the second most important town in Bohemia 

in the Middle Ages and the second seat of 

Bohemian kings. The highlight of the town is 

the Gothic St. Barbara Cathedral. However, also 

St. Jacob’s Church, Italian Court and the small 

castle Hrádek are worth seeing. As the highlight 

of the sightseeing tour of the town you will

chamber of commerce which all together create

Ještěd Mountain either by the cabin cableway 

or by bus. There you can make a coffee break in 

Panorama Restaurant in the original mountain 

hotel with a gorgeous view of the whole town

Day 3: Liberec – Frýdlant – Hejnice

On this day you will go on an full-day trip 

to the Gothic castle Frýdlant from the 13 th 

Century. The original castle was rebuilt in the 

16 th Century and made into a chateau, in 1869 

it was enlarged. Currently this oldest castle 

museum in Central Europe displays furniture, 

glass, porcelain, and above all a large collection 

of weapons. Afterwards you will go to the 

small village of Hejnice, one of the important 

pilgrimage places. The most known local 

architectural monument and sight is the Dome

On this day we will take you via the towns 

of Děčín and Bad Schandau to a bastion with

go on an attractive cruise on the Elbe River. In 

Bad Schandau you will get on the bus which will

In the afternoon you will have the opportunity 

to visit the famous fairground Prater. In the

take you across the border crossing Nicklsdorf

know the Hungarian capital, which is situated 

on both banks of the Dunaj River (the Danube). 

During the sightseeing tour you can admire the 

Castle district, which is upwards of the Dunaj 

River. There you can see The Fisher Bastion and

After your breakfast you will start your 

sightseeing tour of the National Park Vysoké 

Tatry. You can admire the smallest high 

mountains in the world with its beautiful 

landscape. You will have the opportunity to 

take a cabin cableway up to Skalnaté Pleso 

(mountain lake 1750 m). You can enjoy a 

breathtaking view of the valleys and naturally 

faulted mountains and seize the opportunity to 

go for a nice walk. You will make a short stop in 

the town of Kežmarok, which has had the rights 

of a town since 1269. There you can see a lot of 

late gothic churches and houses. We will visit 

one of the most beautiful wooden churches in 

Europe founded in 1717. Afterwards you will 

go to the pearl of Spis Region, Spiššká Sobota. 

You will see the middle-class houses, the Church 

of St. George (13 th Century) and altars made 

by woodcarver master Pavel from Levoča. At 

the end you will visit Štrbské Pleso (mountain 

lake and mountain resort) where the world 

championship in Nordic Combined took place.

go through the National Park of Slovak Paradise

and where you can see the St. Jacob’s Parish 

Church with the highest gothic winged altar in 

the world made by master Pavol from Levoča. At 

the end you will see the Castle of Spišský Hrad. 

The monumental ruins of the originally early 

Slavic fortress are the largest of the fortresses 

and according to their area the largest medieval 

weir system in Europe. From there you will have 

a wonderful view of the little town of Spišské 

Podhradie and over the far Spiš landscape all 

the way to the Mountains of Vysoké Tatry. In 

the afternoon, after the arrival at your hotel you 

will have the opportunity e.g. to go on a tour 

to Hrebienok peak. From there you have more 

possibilities for hiking trips in the National Park 

of Vysoké Tatry. Dinner and accommodation in

Day 6: the

Golf Resort Karlštejn 

This 18-hole golf course is one of the prestige 

courses in the Czech Republic. It was opened 

in 1993. It is sensitively integrated into the 

romantic Bohemian landscape. You will be 

impressed by the panorama of Karlštejn Castle 

of the Bohemian kings which rises above the 

course. The course was built according to the 

concept of Canadian golf architects Les Furber 

and Jim Eremek. As well as the new 9-hole 

course, this was fi nished. The landscape is 

strongly structured; natural gorges, two lakes 

and 86 bunkers are the real challenge also for 

ambitious players. The slogan of this course – 

easy bogeys but diffi cult birdies – suggests that 

all players with all different handicaps can play 

there. 

Golf Resort Konopiště 

The two 18-hole championship courses and 

standardized academy with 9-hole course are 

situated on the land of the Family Curry-Bartoň. 

The original chateau park and also renewed 

chateau from the 18 th Century give the area 

incomparable atmosphere. This course is only 

5 km far away from Konopiště Chateau. The 

Radecký Course was opened in 2002. It is a very 

open course – so don’t let the wind and the 

“blind holes” surprise you. The structured and 

long greens are considered to be ones of the 

most diffi cult in the country. The other course – 

D’Este Course – has been open since 2005. You

The Spa of Františkovy Lázně: 

History: Františkovy Lázně has become famous 

especially as a spa. It was founded in 1793 

under aegis of the last emperor of the old 

empire, Franz II, and it was called Franz’s Village 

(changed into Spa of Františkovy Lázně 

in 1807). People got the knowledge about the 

healing power of the Franz’s spring in the early 

15 th Century. In that time it was owned by 

the town of Cheb and therefore it was called 

Cheb’s water or Cheb’s sour spring. The healing 

water was used at the fi rst place by the inhabitants 

of Cheb and later by the guests of the 

spa as a healing and pleasing product. It was 

dispatched and brought to the town and sold 

there by women from Cheb straight from the 

spring. Around 1700 the use of the water from 

the Spa of Františkovy lázně excelled all the 

other springs in entire Germany. Around 1705 

a guesthouse with bathrooms was built on the 

place of the Franz’s spring, and we speak about 

the fi rst spa accommodation. In 1791 the doctor 

Bernhard Adler had a pavilion made so that 

the spring would be protected and the water 

separated into a special basin. Thanks to this 

action the women from Cheb started to worry 

about their earnings; armed with pans, wooden 

spoons and pokers they broke the pavilion down. 

The rebellion of the women from Cheb even appeared 

in history books, Adler asked the emperor 

for help and demanded a counterstroke. This was 

the time of the spa birth. In 1794 not only one 

new pavilion was built but also a spa hotel and 

other buildings. As same as for the other spas 

the First and Second World Wars broke the spa 

business down. The Second World War stopped 

the foreign guests from coming there. In 1946 

the spa establishment was nationalized. In 1989 

renewed privatization was started and the Spa 

of Františkovy Lázně, Inc. was founded. The spa 

nowadays again strongly attracts the international 

tourists.

The Spa of Karlovy 

History: The Spa of Karlovy Vary was most probably 

founded in 1348 by the emperor Charles IV 

who is said to have discovered the warm springs 

during a stag-hunting. Until the beginning of 

the 16 th Century the warm springs were used 

only for bathing, fi rst later they were used for 

drinking therapy as well. The fi rst larger spa 

house was built in 1762. The today look of the 

town comes mainly from the building activities 

of the late 19 th Century, which was shaped by 

Historism and Art Nouveau. Architecture from 

Vienna had an important infl uence on the Spa 

of Karlovy Vary and it was brought by two architecture 

masters Ferdinand Fellner and Hermann 

Helmer. The year 1989 meant the beginning of 

the new era of free development of the spa character, 

culture and tourism in this beside Prague 

the best-known and most visited town in the 

Czech Republic. 

Location: The town is situated among forested 

hills which are between 380 and 644 m above 

the sea level in the deep valley of the stream 

Teplá. There is also an international airport 

and the town is the seat of companies which 

produce worldwide known products such as the 

herb-liquor Becherovka, Moser’s crystal glass, 

porcelain of Karlovy Vary and local wafers.

The Spa of Mariánské Lázně: 

History: The fi rst historical reference about 

the healing springs from the Spa of Mariánské 

Lázně is from 1528. The Cross Spring including 

its surroundings was opened in 1749. In 1902 

the spa of Mariánské Lázně was made into the 

district town and from that point on it became 

the highlight of the social life in the region. In 

the last years a lot of impressive buildings from 

the 19 th Century were restored and today their 

beauty takes us back to all different past eras. 

The centre of the town is under the protection 

of historical monuments. During the summer 

season the number of visitors reaches 40 000. 

Location: The Spa of Mariánksé Lázně is situated 

at the foothill of the Mountains of Císařský 

les up to height of 630 m. The valley, in which 

the spa is found, is open to the South and from 

the other sides it is protected by forested hills. 

The wide belts of cultivated forests which go 

through the town are not less than 20 km wide 

and offer a number of comfortable promenade 

paths. The atmosphere of this spa is unique and 

peaceful. In the town and its surroundings there 

are approx. 140 springs (temperature between 

7°C and 10°C) which are rich in carbonic acid 

and mineral salts.

Rudolf, Charles, Forest, Cross, Ferdinand 

and Ambrož), the neo-baroque colonnade, the

The Spa of Piešťany: 

History: The fi rst indirect evidence of the existence 

of thermal springs are in archeological 

fossil records of a number of animal bones from 

primitive times and of settlements founded on 

the banks of the Váh River by primitive time 

people who were attracted by the hot springs of 

this area. The fi rst written reference to Piešťany 

is in the document by Zobor from 1113. The 

future glory and international fame of Piešťany 

as a spa started in the late 17 th Century. In 1642 

Adam Trajan from Benešov described the Spa 

of Piešťany in his panegyric poem Saluberrimae 

Pistinienses Thermae. In 1821 the land owner 

count Jozef Erdödy started with his systematical 

building of the spa. The fi rst mirror bath in 

Piešťany – the neo-classical Napoleon’s Bath III 

was founded for recovery of the injured soldiers 

after the Napoleonic war (1822). The crucial era 

for the development of the Spa of Piešťany is 

connected with the name of the Winter Family. 

At the beginning of the 20 th Century the spa 

hotel Thermia Palace built in Art Nouveau style 

together with Irma - the building for Balneotherapy 

– were founded. In 1940 the spa was 

nationalized. In 1954 Piešťany was declared the 

spa of international importance and according 

to the new status of the town new spa hotels, 

cultural facilities and roads were built there. Today 

Piešťany offers the best comfort and social 

life for ambitious guests. 

Location: This wonderful town is situated 

in Southern Slovakia in a picturesque 

valley of the Váh River. Along the left bank of 

the river there is the spa island with its thermal 

springs, spa houses and cultivated park areas. 

Mild weather throughout all seasons and clear

The Spa of Trenčianské 

Teplice: 

History: Already at the beginning of Common 

Era the hunting peoples of Quads and Markomans 

and later also the Roman legions had to 

know these warm springs. The fi rst written document 

describing Trenčianské Teplice as a spa is 

from the 13 th Century. Complete and competent 

description of using the thermal springs is by 

eminent epidemiology and balneology doctor 

Thomas Jordan from Klausenburg. An incredible 

increase of Trenčianské Teplice started during 

the reign of Baron Juraj Sina, who in 1835 took 

over the spa being in blooming state from Štefak 

Illésházy. After his death his son Šimon continued 

in building up the spa. His daughter Ifi genie 

left there the most beautiful architectonic sight 

– Bath HAMMAM. In 1888 a well-known Czech 

architect František Schmoranz rebuilt the bath 

in oriental style. Today, the partly modernized 

spa with its more than 1000 beds 

offers complete balneotherapy on a 

high medical level throughout the whole 

year. Thanks to that nearly 20 000 guests not 

only from the Slovakia but also from abroad 

come there. 

Location: The spa is situated in the Western 

part of the Slovakia in a valley which is 17 

km long and where the Stream Teplička runs 

through. Above the valley of Teplička there 

are highlands of Teplice, Trenčín and Zliechov. 

Wonderful panoramas are made especially by the 

mountains such as Dedovec (545m), Král’ovec 

(575) or Ivaničkovec (575m). 

The most important sights: 5 mineral springs 

of temperatures between 37°C and 40,2°C, the 

so called Turkish Bath “HAMMAM”, the spa park 

which invites for relaxation, the mirror bath Sina 

(1871), the Villa Theresa (originally the Villa 

Gopferd) built in 1898 – the representative building 

of the town, the Roman-Catholic Church of 

St. Štefan and evangelic church.

1. Age categories

All games shall be played in accordance with FIFA Laws, except as 

specifically modified by these rules. 

2. Field Check-in Time and Field and Game Equipment 

2.1. All Games 

a) Check-in time is 30 min prior to the scheduled kick-off. 

b) Players shall wear shin guards in accordance with FIFA laws. 

c) No metal cleats will be allowed, and no jewelry will be allowed. 

d) Hard and soft casts are permitted with the approval of the 

referee. 

e) Where opposing team’s uniform colors are similar, the designated 

home team will change colors. The designated home team is listed 

first on the schedule. 

f) When requested by the referee, each team must provide a referee 

assistant. 

3. Protests and Disputes 

a) There will be no protests allowed. 

b) All disputes for non-referee decisions are submitted thru the Site 

Coordinator in writing to the Tournament Committee for approval 

by 15 min after the game. All decisions by the Tournament 

Committee are final and may not be appealed. 

c) All protests & disputes for referee decisions are not allowed; 

decisions by referees may not be appealed. 

4. Substitution Times 

a) A player may be substituted with the permission of the referee at 

the following stoppages of play: 

After a goal has been made 

At the beginning of the second half of play or prior to the 

beginning of an overtime period 

At a goal kick by either team 

At a throw-in by the team in possession 

b) Under no circumstances may substitutions be made 

On corner kicks or 

After the game has ended in a tie and FIFA penalty kicks 

will be required to determine a winner 

c) Player who was substituted can return into play and can be 

substituted again. No limit to such substitutions. 

5. Points 

a) In the preliminary games, each team will be awarded three (3) 

points for a win or a game forfeited to them, one (1) point for a tie, 

and no (0) points for a loss. At the end of the preliminary rounds, the 

flight winner will be the team with the most points in their flight. In 

the event of a tie within a flight, the following criteria will be used 

to determine the winner in this order: 

1. Head to head competition (in the event of a tie among three (3) 

or more teams, this criterion will not be considered*) 

2. Most wins 

3. Most goals scored 

4. Least goals allowed 

5. FIFA penalty kicks (at least thirty minutes prior to the 

scheduled playoff round games) 

* In the case of three-way ties, the tiebreaker sequence begins with 

“Most Wins” and proceeds, in order, down through the steps until 

the tie is broken and only one team remains. No steps are to be 

repeated or skipped. 

b) If ties remain among teams, then FIFA penalty kick procedures 

will be used to determine a winner (at least thirty minutes prior to 

the scheduled playoff round games). In the event that a wild card 

team must be selected for a semi-final game, the above procedure 

will be used across the entire division.

each Group. 

b) Format of the division is Round Robin, which makes three (3) games 

for each team in the Group. 

c) Placement for ”Play Off Games” will be determined at the end of 

Round Robin. Teams will be placed: first, second, third, and fourth in 

each group.

8. Economical conditions: 

All participating teams cover their expenses during the Tournament. As a 

condition of acceptance to any of the tournaments organized by 

Challenger Hockey, all Teams must stay at one of the Host Tournament 

Hotels provided by Challenger Hockey.. 

9. Awards Presentation: 

On final day (5.7.2009) is Awards Presentation where teams placed 1 st – 3 

rd will be awarded with trophy and medals. Teams placed 1 st – 3 rd are 

asked to attend this ceremony.

Arrive in Prague and meet with your group escort and check into the hotel. 

Depart for practice and dinner. 

July 2 – Thursday – Prague, Czech Republic 

Czech Soccer Challenge Cup – Day 1 

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for soccer pitch for morning game and lunch at the complex. Depart for 

Prague Castle where you will start your walking guided tour. Prague Castle was 

originally the seat of Czech royalty and nobility and now it serves as a residence and 

office for the Czech President. Important part of Prague Castle is St. Vitus's 

Cathedral, the largest and the most important church in Prague, with history dated 

back to year 925. Your tour will then continue to Lesser Town, New Town, across 

one of the oldest stone bridge in Europe Charles Bridge to Old Town. Tour will end 

on Old Town Square in front of Prague’s Horologe. Evening boat cruise on river 

Vltava with dinner. You will enjoy the breath taking view from the river on Prague 

Castle. 

July 3 – Friday – Prague, Czech Republic 


Breakfast at the hotel. Morning second game of the tournament Lunch in preselect 

restaurant. During free time visit downtown. Afternoon third game of the 

tournament. Depart for hotel to get ready for evening event. Depart for Social Gathering full of good 

food, drinks, and music. Evening depart back to the hotel. 

July 4 – Saturday – Prague, Czech Republic 


Breakfast at the hotel. Morning possible visit The concentration camp for Jews the 

Terezín Ghetto. Terezín was established at the end of the 18th century as a fortress; still 

surrounded by its massive ramparts, the town lies at the confluence of the rivers Labe 

(Elbe) and Ohře (Eger). The Main and Small Fortresses at Terezín, although the modern 

for their period, gradually became obsolete, and having lost their 

military function fell into disregard (or other sightseeing you pre-select). Lunch in 

the restaurant. Depart for Prague for tournament game. Dinner at pre-selected 

restaurant in downtown. 

July 5 – Sunday – Prague, Czech Republic 


Breakfast at the hotel. Final games. Lunch on own. Afternoon Awards 

Presentation. After game transfer to typical Czech Restaurant for dinner. You will 

experience some of the rich Czech cuisine, music, and dance. 

July 6 – Monday 

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out of the hotel and depart for home.

General business terms and conditions

1. General 

The general business terms and conditions applying to 

package tours are regulated by the legal relationships between 

IncoCzech Travel Prague, s.r.o. Gregorova 2115, CZ- 

148 00 Prague 4 (hereinafter only ”IncoCzech Travel”) and 

an agency selling travel services (hereinafter only ”the 

contracting partner”) and represent the substance of legally 

valid contracts closed by them. 

2. Offers 

Unless expressly arranged otherwise, IncoCzech Travel will 

prepare all offers free of charge, without obligation and 

independently. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, all prices 

included in an offer shall be understood to mean net 

prices per person. IncoCzech Travel reserves the right up 

to the time it begins to provide services to correct any 

written or printed errors and obvious numerical mistakes. 

3. Orders and confi rmations 

The contracting partner will place an order with IncoCzech 

Travel with the binding intention of closing a contract. 

The contracting partner shall be bound by this order for at 

least 14 days, unless IncoCzech Travel and the contracting 

partner expressly agree on another deadline. When IncoCzech 

Travel confi rms acceptance of the order to the contracting 

partner within the above stated time-limit or another 

agreed time-limit, the contract will become legally 

valid. The order and the confi rmation must be in writing. 

4. Procedure 

IncoCzech Travel undertakes to arrange travel services in 

accordance with the contractual terms and conditions and 

to be available to the contracting partner and to defend 

the contracting partner’s rights and interests when preparing 

for, conducting and arranging tours. IncoCzech Travel 

has the right to withhold services if the contracting partner 

fails to honour its commitment to pay within the timelimit 

stated in paragraph 5. The contracting partner undertakes 

to purchase the contractually agreed travel services 

and to do everything necessary to prepare for, conduct 

and arrange the tour in line with the contract and 

especially to honour its payment commitments. In the 

case of tours to former socialist states, it must supply IncoCzech 

Travel with a defi nitive list of the participants at 

least six weeks before the tour begins and, in the case of 

other tours, at least four weeks before these begin. At the 

same time, IncoCzech will need a rooming list so that 

rooms with one, two or more beds can be allocated, and 

the same applies to seat numbers in the case of overnight 

journeys. If additional costs are incurred as a result of 

non-compliance with the stated deadlines, the contractual 

partner shall meet these. Should other damages result 

from non-compliance with deadlines, IncoCzech Travel’s 

guarantee shall not cover these. In the case of particular 

tours, IncoCzech Travel reserves the right to require a minimum 

number of participants. 

5. Method of payment 

On confi rmation by IncoCzech Travel, the following deposits 

become payable: € 125 in the case of an order worth up 

to € 5,000 and € 250 in the case of an order worth over € 

5,000. If the contracting partner places several orders 

with IncoCzech Travel, special terms can be agreed. The 

con-tractual partner must pay the balace to IncoCzech 

Travel at least 14 days before its services are due to be 

provided. 

6. Price changes 

IncoCzech Travel reserves the right to change the stated 

and confi rmed prices due to major unforeseen circumstances 

if the period between confi rmation and the services 

being provided is longer than four months. Should the 

increase in prices exceed 10%, the contracting partner is 

entitled to withdraw from the contract free of charge. IncoCzech 

Travel must be informed of this withdrawal in 

writing without undue delay. Short-term changes in prices 

based on offi cially fi xed and/or permitted hotel, transport 

and other tariffs are also possible, but these do not entitle 

the contracting partner to withdraw free of charge. 

7. Notice of withdrawal/non-arrival by the contracting 

partner 

The contracting partner has the right at any time to give 

notice of withdrawal from the contract. Changes in orders 

relating to the dates when services are to be provided will 

be treated as if they are a new order. The contracting partner 

must give notice in writing. Non-compliance with the 

agreed contractual deadlines is not valid as a reason for 

withdrawal. When the contractual partner gives notice of 

withdrawal, IncoCzech Travel shall lose its entitlement to 

the price agreed for the tour, but it can require reasonable 

compensation for work carried out in connection with the 

tour and its costs. IncoCzech Travel can invoice for compensation 

in the case of both partial or full cancellation 

either on the basis of case-by-case specifi cally documented 

costs or a fl at rate. Flat rate compensation shall apply 

as follows: 

Partial cancellations 

– if up to 30 days before the tour starts – unless a different 

deadline for cancellation was expressly stated in the legally-valid 

confi rmation of the order – no recurring costs 

have been incurred 

– if from 21 to 29 days before services are due to be supplied 

30% of the original booked number of participants 

are cancelled free of charge, 10% of the arrangement 

price will be invoiced for every participant exceeding this 

number 

– if from 14 to 20 days before services are due to be supplied, 

up to 30% of the original booked number of participants

8. Notice of withdrawal given by IncoCzech Travel 

IncoCzech Travel also has the right to give notice of withdrawal 

from a contract without complying with the deadline, 

if the contracting partner does not fulfi l its contractual 

obligation to pay under the existing business relationships 

within the appointed time-limit or other 

agreed contractual terms and conditions, and the cancellation 

charges under point B (full cancellation) of this 

contract will apply without complying with the deadline, 

in the event of an Act of God, a strike, civil unrest, natural 

catastrophes, epidemics, government ordinances or fundamental 

political changes up to three weeks before the 

tour starts if, after every possible effort has been made, 

the responsibility to provide services on behalf of IncoCzech 

Travel would be beyond the bounds of its fi nancial 

circumstances as far as the agreed services were concerned, 

unless IncoCzech Travel itself is responsible for 

the circumstances creating this situation. If IncoCzech 

Travel gives notice of withdrawal from the contract for reasons 

under points b) and c), the deposit will be refunded. 

Other claims are expressly excluded. 

9. Guarantees 

As part of its responsibility to exercise all the due care of 

a trader, IncoCzech Travel guarantees that the specifi cations 

included in contracts are accurate, that it has carefully 

selected the suppliers of services, that it has properly 

arranged the services agreed for the tour in line with the 

conditions applying in the target country or place. 

However, guarantees against occasional failures or breakdowns 

in the supply of water or electricity are hereby 

excluded, as are guarantees of the operational readiness 

of facilities like heating systems, air conditioning, lifts, 

swimming pools etc. Guarantees against illegal or unauthorised 

conduct by the suppliers of services are also hereby 

excluded. 

Where an IncoCzech Travel guarantee applies and a claim 

for a partial reduction of the arrangement price can be 

made, the guarantee is in all cases limited to the amount 

of the arrangement price. Claims against IncoCzech Travel 

should be made in writing and without delay no later than 

one month after the end of the tour. It is further expressly 

agreed that services arranged with IncoCzech Travel are 

also deemed to have been provided if confi rmed named 

hotels are not available and the accommodation has to be 

exchanged during the stay for accommodation in a hotel 

or hotels which are in the same price category. If for similar 

reasons additional services (sporting events, works 

visits, theatre and concert performances etc) cannot be 

provided, only a claim for a refund of the price of the additional 

service can be made and other claims are excluded. 

Limited guarantees given by IncoCzech Travel to the 

contracting partner based on post offi ce regulations and 

foreign statutory regulations are valid as expressly 

agreed. 

10. Responsibility for cooperation 

On its side, as part of its responsibility to reduce damages, 

the contracting party undertakes that when services fail or 

break down it will do everything it can to help reduce the 

effect of the failure or breakdown and to minimise the 

damage done. It is especially responsible for ensuring that 

its complaint is reported without delay to the appropriate 

tour manager. It is authorised to make good the damage 

done, if this is possible. If the competent manager is not 

available, the complaint must be reported to IncoCzech 

Travel without delay by telegram of fax. The tour manager 

or, if he/she is not available, the supplier of the services 

will prepare a written report on the complaint and hand 

over a copy to the client. If claims are to be made under 

the guarantee, a written complaint about the failure must 

be sent without delay to IncoCzech Travel or its authorised 

representative within one month of the contractually envisaged 

end of the tour, when the date of its delivery to 

IncoCzech Travel will be decisive. 

11. Passport, visa, customs, foreign exchange, health 

and safety regulations 

The contracting partner is responsible to IncoCzech Travel 

for the full, accurate and timely completion and despatch 

of applications for visas and for ensuring that all passport, 

customs and foreign exchange regulations and identity, 

registration, health and safety regulations are complied 

with. All detriments and damages incurred by IncoCzech 

Travel as a result of neglect of this provision shall be 

comp ensated by the contracting partner. If attending to 

visa and customs documentation is part of the contract, 

IncoCzech Travel will not be responsible for any damages 

and ensuing compensation resulting from applications for 

visa, customs and other documents not being completely, 

properly or timely processed by the authorities or submitted 

and granted. This shall also apply to compensation resulting 

from the incomplete, improper or late delivery of 

applications by a transport contractor authorised by the 

contracting partner. 

12. Miscellaneous 

If individual provisions of these general trading conditions 

for package tours do not apply, this shall not affect 

the validity of the other provisions. Declarations of the 

contracting partner’s will shall generally become effective 

as of the date they are delivered to IncoCzech Travel. The 

right to correct printing errors and obvious numerical mistakes 

in our offers remains reserved. 

13. Location of the court 

The court shall be located in Prague.
