I have always seen the<br />

impact that <strong>United</strong> <strong>Way</strong><br />

has had on the community.<br />

In the community <strong>of</strong><br />

Greater New Milford we<br />

share a vision <strong>of</strong> hope<br />

for better futures for all<br />

who live here. For a future<br />

where all children are<br />

prepared for that first<br />

day <strong>of</strong> school, with the<br />

skills needed as well as<br />

a new set <strong>of</strong> clothes so<br />

they can fit in with their<br />

peers. For a future where<br />

everyone has adequate<br />

shelter, a future where<br />

a ro<strong>of</strong> over their head is<br />

not considered a luxury by<br />

some. A future where no<br />

one has to choose between<br />

their medication and food,<br />

where a pregnant woman<br />

is given the care needed<br />

for the health <strong>of</strong> her baby<br />

and herself.<br />

This vision is why I have<br />

worked with <strong>United</strong> <strong>Way</strong> for<br />

over 30 years. It is why I<br />

give. It is why I advocate.<br />

It is why I volunteer. And it<br />

is why I ask you to join us<br />

in helping our community.<br />
