Scalability and Redundancy<br />

The sophisticated and flexible Aquarius iNtuition architecture combines with the unprecedented flexibility of<br />

the iNtuition UNLIMITED licensing models to provide a solution capable of meeting the needs of small<br />

imaging departments and the largest multi-specialty and multi-facility enterprises alike.<br />

Keys to achieving the massive scalability of iNtuition are the ability to render hundreds of thousands of images<br />

simultaneously using a very small amount of off-the-shelf computing hardware, and the ability to deploy these<br />

render nodes using either Load Balancing or Mutual Awareness methods detailed below. These techniques<br />

allow the render nodes of any iNtuition system to be deployed in either a centralized manner where each render<br />

node has access to the same clinical image data, or in a distributed manner where each render node has access<br />

to different clinical image data. In either case, iNtuition can produce a single, unified patient list to achieve a<br />

seamless enterprise workflow.<br />
