British White Cattle ...
... are noted for their strong maternal characteristics
and their excellent udder conformation. It is not unusual
for a 15 year old British White cow to have an udder
that resembles that of a 4 year old. They are good
producers on grass and good foragers. British White
cattle are naturally polled.
BREED INFORMATION
Lowline Cattle ...
... are noted for their feed effi ciency and outstanding
production on grass. Lowline cattle have tremendous
carcass characteristics including exceptional ribeye
area per hundredweight and marbling. Lowline beef is
tender and tasty, even in grass fed Lowlines. Use Lowline
bulls for calving ease in fi rst-calf heifers and quick
breed back. Lowlines are naturally polled.
Dear Friends,
It is with mixed emotions that we have made the tough decision to sell all of our British Whites, but
a challenging work schedule managing a co-op has made it necessary that we cut back our work
load at the ranch.
We will be selling all of our rigidly culled and highly selected registered British White cows with
their calves. All of our herd bulls as well as a number of exciting herd bull prospects by our powerful
herd bull 3S Mr. Kaptain Jr. 3S (a grandson of the great Winston) will sell. Both young and old,
these cows have been scrutinized, selected and culled so only the best of the best are left in our
herd. We honestly feel that there is not a loser in the bunch.
There are a number of great embryo donor cow prospects in the offering including the matriarch of
our greatest cow family, Haliburton Princess 37L and several of her daughters and granddaughters.
It is only in a complete dispersal sale that these fine quality females would ever be offered for sale in
their entirely.
We welcome you to come early on Friday to study the offering and meet and visit with the other British
White breeders from across the United States.
We, along with our guest consignors, will also be selling 34 lots of Lowline cattle from fullbloods
to some exciting double registered Lowline X British White halfbloods. There are some excellent
show prospects in this group.
Please call us if we can be of any assistance.
Sincerely,
Todd and Tanya Smith and Sons, Jacob and Trent
Kaptain is the pivotal bull selected to become the bench mark sire of the 3S herd.
He is the sire of Kaptain Junior. Several of the females in the sale are Kaptain
daughters and have been purposely linebred to their half brother, Kaptain Junior,
to intensify this performance-packed bloodline in the pedigrees of their offspring.
This will be your fi rst opportunity to purchase these genetically enhanced females
carrying this wonderful linebred prepotence of the Kaptain blood!
To quote the British White website; “Whenever British Whites have been placed into
competition they have excelled! Several times young British White bulls have been
placed on feed test to determine average daily gain. Just recently a young British
White bull (Kaptain) was in competition with 53 other bulls of different breeds, i.e.,
Angus, Charolais, Brangus, Parthenais, Shorthorn, Beefmaster, Polled Hereford,
Santa Gertrudis and Simbrah made up the lot. At the completion of the 84 day test
the British White bull had an average daily gain of 5.65 pounds per day which was
the top gaining bull. This was 135% more than the average of all bulls on the test.”
3S Mr. Kaptain, Jr has proven to be a top producer for us. If you are looking for a British White herd sire then do
yourself a favor and look over this tremendous herd sire very closely. Defi nitely the kind you cannot fi nd for sale
except in a dispersal. Kaptain, Jr. has to be among the top 1% of the Bristish White breed. He has the disposition,
hardiness, fertility, conformation and milk production all bred into one genetic package and ready to pass it all on
to your cows. Kaptain Jr. is the Bull for YOU.
moved. Seller will reserve the right to require a certifi ed
check as settlement before releasing any cattle.
Insurance of Purchases and Risk: All animals are the seller’s
as soon as declared sold by the auctioneer. Arrangements
