INTRODUCTION
The Sathya Sai Baba Central Council of Malaysia has launched the S.A.I.
(Social Action Initiative) – SAI Care programme which involves the
implementation of the following service, human values, spiritual and youth
projects over the next two years as our offering for Humanity and Nation
Building in conjunction with Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s 85 th birthday.
SAI Care projects have been launched previously to commemorate the 70 th
and 75 th Birthday celebrations of Bhagavan Baba with similar programs.
However SAI-CARE for the 85 th birthday will also focus on two important
aspects. There are:-
Integration
Every one of the projects will be headed by an identified individual who will
report to the respective National Vice President or Wing leader.
He or she should as far as possible have multi–racial members in his
committee. The programs should involve not only members of the centers but
also the public. The programs offered should be taken as an opportunity to
build bridges with :
a) Inter–religious groups
b) Ethnic associations
c) Community leaders
d) Residents’ associations
e) Institutions of learning
Hence through this integration, the vision that a Sai Center should not stick out
but blend and integrate within the community can be achieved. Through our
noble efforts in this program, Sai Centers will become instrumental in triggering
and expanding consciousness by invoking public participation.
Internalization
Whilst it is important to achieve the intended target for all the respective
projects within the SAI-CARE program, the more important aspect is to
continuously dwell on the inner significance of the projects, the purpose and
the transformational experiences one will have while engaging in these noble
programs. It is our vision that we will eventually present the report to
Bhagavan, but more importantly it is our primary duty to continue focusing our
attention on our inner consciousness. We should have constant feed back
sessions through healthy satsangs, in order to gauge our inner transformation.
An evaluation form for self assessment will be given to project heads for
circulation to all centers.
