On behalf of the sale consignors, I would like to welcome you to the 2012 <strong>North</strong> <strong>Dakota</strong> <strong>Simmental</strong> <strong>Association</strong> Classic Sale! 2012<br />
marks the 41st Anniversary of the <strong>North</strong> <strong>Dakota</strong> <strong>Simmental</strong> <strong>Association</strong>, and many of the consignor’s involved stem from families that<br />
were involved from the start.<br />
This sale has developed a reputation for being a source of some of the top <strong>Simmental</strong>/SimAngus genetics available in the land. The<br />
offering was selected from the heart of some of the top programs in the upper Midwest! The cowherds represented in this offering<br />
present some of the top bull sales in the country each and every year!<br />
2012 has proven to be a very challenging year for many throughout the country because of drought, high corn, etc. With that said, as<br />
I traveled I have to say <strong>North</strong> <strong>Dakota</strong> got through it as well as any state. On the upside there has never been a better time to be in the<br />
beef Industry! The cow numbers are at an all time low and we continue to see record prices for feeder calves. Commercial producers<br />
all over are searching for top-end genetics to use in their programs to take advantage of the times. As seedstock producers you will<br />
find the offering of this sale provides the source for those top-end bulls and females that will assist you in providing those genetics to<br />
your customers.<br />
If you are looking for bred heifers to produce bulls for the commercial and seedstock industry this offering has many opportunities for<br />
you. The open heifers in the offering will be outstanding show heifer prospects for Junior programs. There will be something to fit your<br />
needs and will make tremendous cows as they develop. Keep in mind the great opportunities for Juniors with the Futurity program.<br />
