Mitas and Savatech’s Moto Programme to
pursue a joint path
In October 2012, ČGS HOLDING a.s., the parent company of Mitas, acquired ownership of Savatech. Under
the auspices of ČGS Holding a.s., Mitas and Savatech will continue their decades-long and outstandingly rich
tradition in tyre manufacturing whose beginnings date way back to 1932 and 1920, respectively.
As Mitas is only able to retain the “Sava” brand name displayed on Savatech-made tyres for a certain period of
time, the Sava trademark will gradually be replaced by the Mitas brand. The changes planned for the future will
result in the widest possible range of two-wheel tyres under one brand.
Mitas is a specialist and important player in off-road segments, building a strong and healthy business which
respects the customer’s needs. We are proud that Mitas tyres are endorsed by a number of motorcycle
champions from various disciplines. Co-operation with top names in extreme enduro, freestyle motocross
and speedway allows us to gain important information about the performance of our tyres under extreme
conditions.
Savatech’s expertise in the most advanced on-the-road motorcycle and scooter tyre segment is a natural
extension of Mitas’ own core business. As a development partner in the original equipment market, Savatech
has established cooperation with numerous motorcycle and scooter manufacturers and that, undoubtedly, is
a further reason for having confidence in our products.
All our motorcycle tyres are made in Europe in our two production facilities in Slovenia and the Czech Republic
under the strict quality standards.
The experience, knowledge and innovation that both European rubber producers have, provides the basis for
further development and the revitalisation of the entire sales programme.

Savatech d.o.o. is a European manufacturer of industrial rubber products and tyres. Savatech’s Moto Programme manufactures and
sells tyres under the Sava brand name. Following the acquisition of Savatech by ČGS Holding a.s. [the parent company of Mitas] the
Sava brand name on Savatech-made tyres will gradually be replaced by the Mitas brand name.
