<strong>Luna</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a<br />
member of the North Central Association of <strong>College</strong>s and Schools, 30 North LaSalle<br />
Street, Suite 2400, Chicago, Illinois 60602-2504.<br />
MISSION OF THE COLLEGE<br />
The mission of <strong>Luna</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> is to prepare its students for relevant and<br />
productive employment. The goals that guide the operation of <strong>LCC</strong> are to:<br />
1. Prepare students for employment in entry-level positions through a broad<br />
range of vocational, technical, and professional education programs.<br />
2. Enhance job effectiveness and continue training in keeping up with changes<br />
in the job market.<br />
3. Assist students in gaining equitable accessibility to educational opportunities.<br />
4. Provide continuing education and community service to its service area.<br />
5. Offer Certificates and Associate of Applied Science, Arts, and Science<br />
degrees.<br />
6. Promote transfer of credits between institutions of higher education.<br />

INSTITUTIONAL REGULATIONS<br />
Students are responsible for complying with all regulations and policies of the <strong>College</strong>,<br />
the departments from which they take courses, and for fulfilling all certificate and<br />
degree requirements. Therefore, students are advised to familiarize themselves with<br />
the regulations of the <strong>College</strong>. These regulations are contained in this school catalog<br />
and the student handbook, “The Navigator,” which is available for student reference at<br />
the ACCESS Center.<br />
