NILOS Spacer
Rings
NILOS Spacer Rings are ideal when using a
normal locking ring and can promote easier
ring mounting. Two styles are offered: type
A (for use with externally sealing AV rings)
and type J (for use with internally sealing
JV rings.) Optimum non-slip clamping can
be achieved by matching spacer rings with
Seeger ® L-rings, which will compensate
further for axial play.
A unique design advantage inherent in
NILOS Spacer Rings: Their width serves to
prevent jamming the NILOS-Ring into the
groove of the locking ring.
Proper selection of a spacer ring will
depend on the diameter of the shaft
or housing (referenced in the charts below).
Application Note: NILOS Spacer Rings can
be used with all NILOS-Ring types for inner
or outer sealing except Series 618, 619
and AK rings.
The material is a form of die-cast zinc.
the usable temperature range under heavy
loading is 100º C maximum.
