MAAC in scoring with 11.2 points per game… started 23 of 26 appearances and dished out a<br />

team-high 82 assists… finished 10th in the MAAC averaging 3.2 assists… led <strong>Manhattan</strong> and<br />

ranked eighth in the conference with a 78.2% free-throw percentage… averaged 33.0 minutes<br />

per game, which was the 10th highest average in the conference… posted <strong>12</strong> double-digit<br />

scoring performances, including three 20+ point efforts… set a career-high scoring 25 points<br />

at Iona (2/7)… led <strong>Manhattan</strong> in assists 15 times… selected MAAC Rookie of the Week twice…<br />

garnered MAAC Rookie of the Week honors after scoring a game-high 23 points in a season<br />

opening victory at NJIT (11/13)… earned second MAAC Rookie of the Week award on Feb. 28<br />

after averaging 19.0 points, 3.0 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals over two games at Canisius<br />

(2/25) and Niagara (2/27)… led <strong>Manhattan</strong> in scoring seven times during the season… handed<br />

out a career-high nine assists against Binghamton (<strong>12</strong>/11)… hit 65-foot buzzer beater to send<br />

<strong>Manhattan</strong> off with a 60-59 victory at Marist (1/30)… tied for fifth in the MAAC averaging 1.4<br />

assists per game... averaged 10.3 points in conference games… grabbed a career-high five<br />

rebounds on four occasions… converted a career-best <strong>12</strong>-of-15 free-throws at NJIT (11/13).<br />

BEFORE MANHATTAN: 2010 First Team All-CHSAA point guard and 2010 Third Team All New<br />

York State Class AA at All Hallows High School playing for head coach John Carey and assistant<br />

coach Joe Walsh... selected New York Daily News All-Bronx First Team at the conclusion of<br />

senior year... started four years of varsity ball and named the team’s Most Valuable Player twice<br />

at All Hallows... named to the New York Daily News All-Bronx First Team averaging 13.2 points<br />

per game as a junior... helped lead All Hallows to the CHSAA Class ‘AA’ intersectional final and<br />

near upset of powerhouse Rice with 15 points in the 2009 title game... one of 10 players in New<br />

York City to be selected for the 2010 Jordan Brand Classic Regional Team... competed for the<br />

under-18 Puerto Rican National Team during the summer of 2010.<br />

PERSONAL: Born March 31, 1992... son of Miguel and Rosalind Alvarado... has two sisters,<br />

Sasha, who is an alumna of <strong>Manhattan</strong> <strong>College</strong>, and Elsie.<br />
