MEDIA INFORMATION<br />
The <strong>Manhattan</strong> <strong>College</strong> men’s basketball media guide is intended to enhance your<br />
coverage during the <strong>2011</strong>-20<strong>12</strong> season. This guide will answer most questions concerning<br />
the Jaspers basketball program. A comprehensive history section, along with current<br />
information is available in this publication. If you need additional information contact<br />

Working Credentials<br />
Requests for working credentials should be made no later than two days prior to the<br />
game. The assistant athletic director for communications & marketing reserves the right<br />
to deny requests made past that time. Passes may be mailed if the request is received<br />
early enough.<br />
Press row is located on the sideline opposite the team benches. Working media are asked<br />
not to sit at the scorer’s table unless designated to do so by the assistant athletic director<br />
for communications & marketing.<br />
Photographers are asked to remain along the baseline and must display their credentials.<br />
Photographers not displaying credentials will be asked to leave the court area.<br />
Preference will be given to working press and photographers covering the game. Media<br />
representatives are asked to display their credentials at all times.<br />

Practice Policy<br />
Practice is open to the media. Players and coaches will be available upon request 30<br />
minutes prior to the scheduled practice time and 30 minutes at the conclusion of<br />
practice, barring conflicts with the student-athlete’s class and study hall schedule. Video<br />
and still photography is permitted during practice.<br />
After the Game<br />
Home Games<br />
Coach Masiello will hold a postgame press conference with the media in the press<br />
room located in Alumni Hall Room 200. Players will be available at the discretion of the<br />
assistant athletic director for communications & marketing.<br />
Road Games<br />
Coach Masiello will be available for a postgame press conference immediately following<br />
road games. Players will be available at the discretion of the assistant athletic director for<br />
communications & marketing.<br />
*** Special Game Day interview requests MUST be channeled through the Athletic<br />
Communication Office at least 48 hours prior to the contest. Special requests will be<br />
granted on a case by case basis. ***<br />
Radio Lines<br />
Phone lines for radio broadcasts are available upon advanced request. Please contact<br />
the athletic communication office at [718] 862-7228 at least 48 hours prior to the game to<br />
request phone lines, a working credential and seat at press row.<br />
Media covering the visiting team should pass credential requests along to the visiting<br />
institution’s director of sports information who will then forward all credential requests to<br />
the <strong>Manhattan</strong> <strong>College</strong> Athletic Communication Office.<br />
Game Services<br />
Game notes, statistics and a game program will be provided to the working media prior<br />
to each contest. Box scores and a detailed play-by-play will be available at halftime and 15<br />
minutes after the game.<br />
Telephones, Internet and Fax Machine<br />
The media work room will be equipped with outside telephone lines, wireless internet<br />
and electrical outlets. One fax machine will also be available for use after the game.<br />
Please forward all post game technical requests to the assistant athletic director for<br />
communications & marketing prior to the game.<br />
Interview Policy<br />
All discussion with Coach Masiello and student-athletes should be channeled through the<br />
athletic communications office at [718] 862-7228. Masiello and players will be available<br />
weekly on Monday upon request 48 hours in advance. Media interviews will be held in<br />
the <strong>Manhattan</strong> <strong>College</strong> Athletic Communication Office Room 508 in Draddy Gymnasium.<br />
Players and coaches will also be available upon request before and after scheduled<br />
practice times. Interviews will not be given the day of the game until after the game.<br />
Interviews with student-athletes will not be scheduled during study hall or class time.<br />
