Requested $35 million in the statewide 2005-2007 Capital Budget. The request
would fund construction of the new Science and Technology Building,
which is currently in the state’s funding queue. If approved, the
request would also fund the design and construction of a major
library renovation and addition and provide funds for Phase
Two of the planned Cultural Center as well as local
repairs for the campus.

Peninsula College is dedicated to providing comprehensive
services to everyone in its service district. Our
expanding sites in Forks and Port Townsend demonstrate our
commitment to helping all of the residents of the Olympic
Peninsula to reach their full potential. A few examples of the many
ways we serve the western and eastern most reaches of our district

Forks Extension Site
Offering classes in Neah Bay via Interactive Television.
Offering conversational Spanish in combination with ESL instruction.
Co-locating a Work Source Employment Security Office onsite.
Partnering with the University of Washington Virtual Museum Project by locating a project
manager onsite.
Making it possible to earn an Associate of Arts degree without leaving Forks.
Port Townsend Extension Site
Expanding our business classes for transfer students and community business people.
Founding the Water Street Writers series, a
once-a-month literary reading, open to all
members of the community.
Offering classes in Brinnon.
Tapping community residents to offer a
wide variety of Adult Special Interest
classes.
