Koniag Angayuk Internship Scholarship
Deadline – Jan. 15, 2011
Koniag, Inc. and the Koniag Education Foundation (KEF) have jointly
coordinated an internship scholarship program to seek out Koniag’s
best and brightest shareholders and descendants to intern with
Koniag or one of the subsidiaries of Koniag Development Corporation
(KDC) and to establish relationships between our future leaders
and Koniag, Inc. The selected intern will be awarded an annual
scholarship of $10,000 from Koniag, Inc. throughout the length of
their post-secondary educational training. Such an award allows the
student to focus on his/her field of study and also gain related work
experience during a 6-10 week period during the summer.
To qualify, students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, agree to intern
in any one of Koniag’s subsidiaries during the summer and be willing
to relocate for a period of 6-10 weeks during the summer months.
Students will receive a salary during their internship and travel and
lodging will be funded by Koniag, Inc. Students who are awarded
this scholarship and who continue to meet the obligations of the
scholarship will receive renewed funding of $10,000 each year up
until graduation. To apply, go to KEF’s Online scholarship application
2010 Annual Meeting Webcast
Koniag’s Webcast of the 2010 Annual Meeting from Seattle,
Wash. was a success again this year. For our third webcast,
Koniag contracted with a local Seattle firm, Online Video
Service. The firm used a different chat interface and webcast
structure, which allowed participants to log on to the video
portion to an audio-only portion or to watch and listen and log
onto the live chat room feature simultaneously.
Our webcast survey revealed that a during the six-hour
webcast, about 252 people logged on.
Location Number
Anchorage 76
Kodiak 35
Soldotna 14
Washington state 28
Other states 20
Koniag gathered feedback in the chatroom as well, and we
will take your suggestions into account in planning next
year’s webcast. The biggest request has been for increased
video coverage to include the Breakout sessions of the Annual
Meeting.
Thank you to all who took time to log on to all or part of the
webcast. We’ll see you next year in Anchorage!
Of those viewers, 50 completed the Webcast survey questions.
Of the surveyed group, more than 65 percent were women
and 35 percent were men. The largest number of technical
difficulties were issues involving video quality and were most
likely due to slow or poor Internet connection speed.
The 2010 Koniag Annual Meeting was available through webcast.
A webcast survey shows that about 252 people logged on to be
part of the meeting.
