General Conditions:
• Colours and textures have been reproduced as closely as the printing process allows. Final selection should be made from
actual samples. Citadel® Building Stone is strictly monitored for consistency in colour and texture; however, slight
variations will occur between batches.
• Citadel® Building Stone must be installed using industry recommended materials and techniques conforming to CSA A371-
84, Masonry Construction for Buildings in Canada or ACI 530-99 / ASCE 5-99 / TMS 402-99, Building Code Requirements
for Masonry Structures in the United States, and any local requirements stipulated by the authorities having jurisdiction.
• Arriscraft International recommends the use of Portland cement-lime mortar only; proportioned to a 1:1:6 ratio, where 1
part Portland cement is mixed with 1 part hydrated lime (Type S) and 6 parts masonry sand to produce a Type N mortar
as described in CSA A179 or ASTM C270.
• Generally masonry products are intended for above-grade installations. Where an at or below-grade application is
aesthetically desirable, it is important to segregate the unit masonry from any long-term or continuous exposure to
moisture and from exposure to de-icing compounds.
• Refer to ARRISCRAFT·DATA 04233 – Calcium Silicate Building Stone and ARRISCRAFT·CARE for additional information.
