Ron Sisler<br />
Head Coach<br />
Ron Sisler begins his fifth<br />
season as the men’s and<br />
women’s golf coach at<br />
<strong>Corban</strong> College following<br />
three seasons as head golf<br />
coach at Santiam Christian<br />
High School in Corvallis,<br />
Oregon.<br />
In four seasons at the helm of the Warriors,<br />
Ron has led <strong>Corban</strong> to a back-to-back runnerup<br />
finishes at the conference tournament<br />
along with a 10th, 9th, and 6th place finish<br />
respectively at the NAIA Region I Championships.<br />
Ron helped guide the Warriors to a schoolrecord<br />
5-under 283 in the second round of the<br />
Cascade Collegiate Conference #2 tournament<br />
hosted by Concordia <strong>University</strong> during the 2006<br />
season. During his time as head coach, Ron has<br />
led the Warriors to 15 sub-310 rounds including<br />
four this past fall season.<br />
Before taking the reigns as head coach<br />
at Santiam Christian, Ron was the assistant<br />
coach for eight seasons for the Eagles. During<br />
his tenure as golf coach, Ron helped guide<br />
Santiam Christian to one state championship,<br />
one state runner-up, two 4th place finishes,<br />
and one 6th place finish. Besides the state<br />
accomplishments, Ron assisted in seven straight<br />
district championships.<br />
Ron has also been the boys’ basketball<br />
coach at Santiam Christian since 1992 and<br />
has compiled over 300 career victories. Over<br />
his 15 years of coaching, Ron has guided<br />
Santiam Christian to five WVL championships,<br />
four district championships, two regional<br />
championships, and qualified for the league<br />
playoffs on thirteen different occasions. Ron<br />
has guided Santiam Christian to seven state<br />
tournament appearances, while finishing 2nd<br />
twice, 4th twice, and 8th once. Ron was chosen<br />
to coach the state All-Star game in both 1997<br />
and 2003, as well as assistant coach the South<br />
squad in 2007.<br />
Ron earned his Bachelor of Science degree<br />
in biblical studies and theology from <strong>Corban</strong> in<br />
1991 and is currently working on his master’s<br />
degree in business through <strong>Corban</strong>’s on-line<br />
program.<br />
Ron currently resides with his wife, Karen,<br />
and their four children – Benjamin, Karlee,<br />
Madeline, and Emma – in Corvallis, Oregon.<br />
Mark Colachico<br />
Assistant Coach<br />
Mark Colachico begins his<br />
fourth season as the assistant<br />
men’s and women’s golf coach<br />
at <strong>Corban</strong>.<br />
Mark came to <strong>Corban</strong><br />
following three years at Hope<br />
International <strong>University</strong> in<br />
Fullerton, California, where he attempted to begin<br />
a golf program and taught numerous golf classes<br />
during his tenure at the university.<br />
Mark played three years of high school golf<br />
at Northfield High School in Northfield, Vermont.<br />
At the beginning of his junior season, Mark earned<br />
the No. 3 spot and never relinquished it until he<br />
graduated in 1994.<br />
Mark moved out to California following<br />
his graduation from Northfield High School and<br />
attempted to play in local tournaments, while<br />
working towards beginning at club golf program at<br />
Azusa Pacific <strong>University</strong>. Mark competed for one<br />
season at Citrus College in Glendora, California, but<br />
did not play in any tournaments due to the number<br />
of participants on the Owls’ squad.<br />
Along with his accomplishments on the links,<br />
Mark has also given numerous lessons to family<br />
members and friends.<br />
A graduate of Azusa Pacific <strong>University</strong>,<br />
Mark earned his Bachelor of Science degree in the<br />
area of organizational leadership in 2002. As an<br />
undergraduate student, Mark worked in the Sports<br />
Information office at Azusa Pacific where he was the<br />
lead student assistant for one year before heading<br />
into the world of Major League Baseball as an intern<br />
for the then-Anaheim Angels during the team’s<br />
memorable run to the World Series title in 2002.<br />
Mark currently resides in West Salem with his<br />
wife, Jennifer, and their two daughters – Brooke<br />
and Emma. The couple attends Morning Star<br />
Community Church and is involved in a community<br />
group. Mark will continue working as the Sports<br />
Information Director for the Warriors, while assisting<br />
with the golf program.<br />
Ben Sisler<br />
Assistant Coach<br />
Ben Sisler is beginning his<br />
first season as assistant golf<br />
coach for both the men’s and<br />
women’s programs at <strong>Corban</strong>.<br />
A four-year player on<br />
the men’s team, Ben led the<br />
Warriors as one of the key<br />
players on the team. During his final season in 2007-<br />
08, Ben finished with an average of 75.90 strokes<br />
per round and finished tied for medalist honors at<br />
the Cascade Collegiate Conference championships<br />
while also finishing tied for 17 th at the NAIA Region<br />
I Tournament.<br />
