Ron Sisler
Head Coach
Ron Sisler begins his fifth
season as the men’s and
women’s golf coach at
Corban College following
three seasons as head golf
coach at Santiam Christian
High School in Corvallis,
Oregon.
In four seasons at the helm of the Warriors,
Ron has led Corban to a back-to-back runnerup
finishes at the conference tournament
along with a 10th, 9th, and 6th place finish
respectively at the NAIA Region I Championships.
Ron helped guide the Warriors to a schoolrecord
5-under 283 in the second round of the
Cascade Collegiate Conference #2 tournament
hosted by Concordia University during the 2006
season. During his time as head coach, Ron has
led the Warriors to 15 sub-310 rounds including
four this past fall season.
Before taking the reigns as head coach
at Santiam Christian, Ron was the assistant
coach for eight seasons for the Eagles. During
his tenure as golf coach, Ron helped guide
Santiam Christian to one state championship,
one state runner-up, two 4th place finishes,
and one 6th place finish. Besides the state
accomplishments, Ron assisted in seven straight
district championships.
Ron has also been the boys’ basketball
coach at Santiam Christian since 1992 and
has compiled over 300 career victories. Over
his 15 years of coaching, Ron has guided
Santiam Christian to five WVL championships,
four district championships, two regional
championships, and qualified for the league
playoffs on thirteen different occasions. Ron
has guided Santiam Christian to seven state
tournament appearances, while finishing 2nd
twice, 4th twice, and 8th once. Ron was chosen
to coach the state All-Star game in both 1997
and 2003, as well as assistant coach the South
squad in 2007.
Ron earned his Bachelor of Science degree
in biblical studies and theology from Corban in
1991 and is currently working on his master’s
degree in business through Corban’s on-line
program.
Ron currently resides with his wife, Karen,
and their four children – Benjamin, Karlee,
Madeline, and Emma – in Corvallis, Oregon.
Mark Colachico
Assistant Coach
Mark Colachico begins his
fourth season as the assistant
men’s and women’s golf coach
at Corban.
Mark came to Corban
following three years at Hope
International University in
Fullerton, California, where he attempted to begin
a golf program and taught numerous golf classes
during his tenure at the university.
Mark played three years of high school golf
at Northfield High School in Northfield, Vermont.
At the beginning of his junior season, Mark earned
the No. 3 spot and never relinquished it until he
graduated in 1994.
Mark moved out to California following
his graduation from Northfield High School and
attempted to play in local tournaments, while
working towards beginning at club golf program at
Azusa Pacific University. Mark competed for one
season at Citrus College in Glendora, California, but
did not play in any tournaments due to the number
of participants on the Owls’ squad.
Along with his accomplishments on the links,
Mark has also given numerous lessons to family
members and friends.
A graduate of Azusa Pacific University,
Mark earned his Bachelor of Science degree in the
area of organizational leadership in 2002. As an
undergraduate student, Mark worked in the Sports
Information office at Azusa Pacific where he was the
lead student assistant for one year before heading
into the world of Major League Baseball as an intern
for the then-Anaheim Angels during the team’s
memorable run to the World Series title in 2002.
Mark currently resides in West Salem with his
wife, Jennifer, and their two daughters – Brooke
and Emma. The couple attends Morning Star
Community Church and is involved in a community
group. Mark will continue working as the Sports
Information Director for the Warriors, while assisting
with the golf program.
Ben Sisler
Assistant Coach
Ben Sisler is beginning his
first season as assistant golf
coach for both the men’s and
women’s programs at Corban.
A four-year player on
the men’s team, Ben led the
Warriors as one of the key
players on the team. During his final season in 2007-
08, Ben finished with an average of 75.90 strokes
per round and finished tied for medalist honors at
the Cascade Collegiate Conference championships
while also finishing tied for 17 th at the NAIA Region
I Tournament.
