the Porsche R&D Center in Weissach. 

Every product undergoes exhaustive 

testing throughout its development 

to ensure outstanding performance 

and durability. This is because they 

have to meet the highest standards 

of Porsche quality and functionality. 

One of the highlights is the new 

19-inch SportDesign wheel in a 

black high-gloss finish, which 

has undergone countless tests. 

Ultimately, it was not only the 

wheel’s design and the performance 

that had to be exemplary, but also 

its practicality for everyday use. 

With regard to chemical and 

corrosion resistance, for example, it 

was subjected to a 1,000-hour salt 

and ultraviolet light test. Next, there 

were tests for thermal resistance and 

compatibility, e.g., with tire paste and 

underbody sealing compounds. 

The result of all this development 

and testing is a wheel that meets the 

stringent Porsche specification. And 

the highest expectations—yours.

The wheel was invented around 

6,000 years ago, but developing 

it to perfection has taken until

This classic 10-spoke alloy design 

has wider dimensions at the front 

and rear (8.5 and 10 inches, 

respectively) for a larger contact 

patch. As well as enhancing the 

car’s presence on the road, this 

provides better traction, grip and 

driving dynamics. The visual effect 

is further augmented by the center 

spokes in GT Silver Metallic, and 

a high-gloss polished outer rim.

cover passengers from newborn 

to 12 years of age. The fabrics

with a removable and washable 

cover. The Porsche child seats 

can be fixed conveniently and 

safely on the passenger seat by 

using the special Porsche Child 

Seat Fastener System. For 

increased safety, the Porsche 

Baby and Porsche Junior Seats 

have an independent five-point 

belt system.

The Child Seat Fastener System 

for the passenger seat includes 

fastening loops and lower 

anchorage points for mounting 

between the seat surface and 

backrest, as well as a key switch 

for deactivation of the passenger 

airbag. The passenger airbag must 

be deactivated when carrying 

children weighing less than 59 

pounds (for U.S. and Canada).
