Take a closer look at the Yaris family and you’ll find three door
and five door hatch models and a very stylish four door sedan.
THE WINNING COMBINATION of superb quality, ease of use and
great performance ensures Yaris sets the standard for compact cars.
Thorough design development, a focus on detail and superb quality
have materialised into a compact car with advanced safety features
and a spacious cabin wrapped in a body size appropriate for urban
life in the 21st century. Yaris combines the intrinsic attractiveness
of a compact car with maximised interior passenger space and
excellent capacity.
THE EXTRA SAFETY for the Yaris range means all models are equipped
with driver and front passenger, front seat side and front/rear curtain
shield airbags. Hatch models also have a driver’s knee airbag.
PRE-TENSIONERS AND FORCE LIMITERS for front seatbelts have add
an extra margin of safety in frontal collisions. Sensors detect a strong
impact while the pre-tensioners rewind the seatbelts instantly to
help restrain the occupants. In addition, force limiters help to relieve
pressure on the upper torso by gradually releasing the seatbelt when
load to the torso exceeds a specified level. All Yaris models have rear
seat child restraint ISO fixing points with tether anchors.
These fixing points ensure the seat your
child travels in is securely fastened to
provide maximum protection.
Impact absorbing materials are used
throughout the interior to reduce occupant injury.
AN ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM is standard on all models along
with Electronic Brake-force distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA).
ABS regulates braking pressure to help prevent wheel lock-up, EBD
delivers the brake force to the wheels most in need, and Brake Assist
helps increase brake pedal pressure in an emergency braking situation.
The combined effect ensures your Yaris stops as well as
it goes. To aid handling in tricky
situations 1.5 litre Yaris models
have Vehicle Stability Control
(VSC) and Traction Control (TRC).
