PSY 360 Week 3 DQ 4/snaptutorial
For more classes visit www.snaptutorial.com Memory: Fabric of the Mind Watch the "Memory: Fabric of the Mind" video located in this week's Electronic Reserve Readings. Discuss the video We are learning this week that memory is highly subjective. Take, for instance two grown siblings. They will likely remember the same family event in two very different ways. Why does this happen? What are some problems when it comes to memory and its subjective nature? Watch the "Delete: The Art of Forgetting" video located in this week's Electronic Reserve Readings. Every day we delete text messages, emails, etc. We even have on occasion the opportunity to actually delete people out of our lives - removing them from our contact lists on our phones, deleting a friend from social media, etc. If you had the capability to delete certain memories, would you? What might be some of the benefits? What potential problems could arise from having this ability? Interested to hear your thoughts! Sensory Memory

As discussed in the readings assignment for this week, sensory memory is a general term used
to refer to sensory buffers that can retain a large amount of memory, but only for a short
period of time. One type of sensory memory is iconic memory. Can you think of a time when
you used iconic memory? If so, how did you use it?
