As we begin tonight’s wonderful activities that will honor our two healthcare
advocates, Zenaide S. Still and M. Javed Akhtar, M.D., we pause for a
moment and thank each of them for their more than forty years of care and
concern for Bradford Regional Medical Center and the Bradford community.
Both the Foundation and the Auxiliary salute our two Honorees and you our
guests for your tireless support of our hospital’s many programs and services.
It’s a new day for BRMC, and we thank the leadership of Timothy J. Finan and
his team for their ability to create a dramatic favorable financial turnaround!
We have come together tonight for a common purpose: our commitment to
Bradford Regional Medical Center. The Spring Swing Gala is a time to celebrate
and to demonstrate our belief in community health, and to thank those quiet leaders
and humble philanthropists who see to the mission of our work.
We’d like to thank our committee who worked so tirelessly: Harvey Golubock, Sandra McKinley, Vonda Reese,
Francie Ambuske, Ginny Hauser, Stephanie Huber and Jill Cummiskey.
Tonight’s proceeds will benefit the renovations of BRMC’s Labor and Delivery Unit and we thank our sponsors
for their gifts that further our mission.
On behalf of Bradford Hospital Foundation, we are so appreciative of your ongoing belief and support of our
great community hospital, nursing home and visiting nurse/hospice organization. We are proud of our
comprehensive healthcare delivery system and we look forward to sharing that pride with you this evening.
