Testing Offered<br />
All parapr<strong>of</strong>essionals newly hired<br />
after Janary 8, 2002, for programs supported<br />
by Title I funds must be “Highly<br />
Qualified.” Those parapr<strong>of</strong>essionals who<br />
were hired prior to January 2002 must<br />
be “Highly Qualified” by July 1, 2006.<br />
Special <strong>Education</strong> parapr<strong>of</strong>essionals<br />
employed before June 30, 2005 have<br />
until July 1, 2007 to meet the state<br />
requirement and have a letter <strong>of</strong> approval.<br />
Passing the ETC ParaPro Assessment<br />
test is one way to become “Highly<br />
