1238 VB A remarkable colln which would mount up superbly as a one frame exhibit of
perhaps as a social philately exhibit. It consists of an archive belonging to a Far East
prisoner of war of the Japanese at Fukuoka camp No.2 commencing with letters to
A/C1 “Bunny” Waren in Kedah, Malaya, then Telegram from the Air Ministry 13th
May 1943 (he had arrived at the Camp on Dec 7th 1942) a hand written time line
Xmas Day 1942 lunch box of Cold Rice & Cabbage, Oct 7th 1943 first hot bath since
Dec 1942, 1943-45 cards & letters from UK to the camp (30), one undated card from
him to UK (I am interned and cheerful) newspaper cutting stating he was a Japanese
POW, a Red X parcel Menu 2., a Telegram & release & later material plus his medals
