2011

It is never too late to
think about adopting a
healthier lifestyle
Small changes can make a big difference to your health
• making you feel better
• giving you more energy
• helping you to sleep more soundly
Staying active
helps us to feel more energetic
• manage high blood pressure and angina
• keep weight under control
• maintain regular bowel movements
• stimulate a poor appetite
• strengthen muscles and bones
• alleviate discomfort if you have
arthritis or Parkinson’s
Regular exercise increases
production of brain chemicals
that lift your mood and make
you feel happy so it can also
be a good way to deal with
stress and anxiety.
The Sutton Life Centre
The Life Centres community attractions include a state of the art library, more akin to a
High Street bookshop than a traditional library.
Equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity and linked to the Café zone so it’s a place to sit and
enjoy a read and a cup of coffee and relax in an informal and well designed space.
The Sutton Life Centre’s ‘Life Zone’ is a world class learning facility that puts children
in real life scenarios, including teenage drinking, bullying and making green choices, so
they can cope with the challenges of growing up and get involved in today’s society. The
Life Zone focuses on safety, fairness and green issues.
The MUGA (multi use games
arena) will offer a space that will
accommodate a range of sports and
games for groups and individuals of
all ages.
Supported by great changing
facilities the MUGA is available to
local groups and clubs.
The Climbing Zone
Sutton Life Centre: The Climbing Zone
It’s for Beginners upwards! The only
outdoor climbing wall in Sutton is to be
found on the back wall of the Sutton
Life Centre! Designed for climbers of
all abilities the wall offers the chance to
scale the heights under the careful eye of
qualified instructors.
