Beltra Group Water Scheme
The new plant will treat water from the group
scheme’s existing source where water is abstracted
from an underground spring. The water is filtered
and disinfected using hypochlorite liquid chemical.
The treated water is stored in a new concrete
reservoir tank supplying water on demand into the
distribution pipe network. The treatment plant has a
water production capacity of 136m3/d. This proved to
be a difficult site for upgrading and all credit to the
Beltra GWS treatment works.
contractor for its present appearance.
