Product Description<br />
<strong>Seam</strong>Bond 1663 is a fast-setting, flammable seam adhesive<br />
for direct-glue and double-glue carpet applications.<br />
Features<br />
• Fast-setting to keep seams in place.<br />
• Waterproof.<br />
• Resistant to grease and oil.<br />
Uses<br />
• Use for the installation of carpet with the following<br />
backings: jute, sponge rubber, polypropylene (ActionBac ® ),<br />
Unibond ® hot-melt, closed-cellular urethane foam, woven<br />
(Axminster,Wilton), Enhancer, latex-unitary and<br />
needle-punched.<br />
• Use for interior applications when substrate temperature<br />
is between 10°C (50°F) and 32°C (90°F).<br />
Note: Consult Technical Services (1-888-243-6263) for installation<br />
recommendations regarding backings and conditions not listed.<br />

Application<br />
1. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Turn off all pilot<br />
lights and ignition sources before application. Review<br />
Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for safe-handling<br />
instructions prior to use.<br />
2. Using an applicator nozzle, apply a bead of 3 mm (1/8")<br />
in width to the carpet’s exposed primary backing<br />
on one side of the seam after the floor has been glued.<br />
Tip: Be careful not to apply a bead of seam adhesive that<br />
is larger than recommended.This could result in the excess<br />
adhesive being forced up into the fibers or through the carpet.<br />
3. Place the other side of the seam into place, ensuring<br />
that the backings meet at the applied bead.<br />
4. If necessary, roll the seam with a carpet tractor to ensure<br />
proper transfer of the adhesive.

5. Using mineral spirits, clean any excess adhesive<br />
immediately.<br />
6. Immediately reseal the adhesive bottle for future<br />
use.<br />

connection therewith. Any claim shall be deemed<br />
waived unless made in writing to us within fifteen<br />
