Lists and schedules are easily added to each risk type. Rules based validation and defaulting of values helps with data entry and consistency. Claims With Iris it is easy to monitor and validate claims accurately. Aggregation of losses by policy, event, loss type, market reference and many other factors ensure effective reinsurance recovery. Technical Accounting Iris allows customers to design their own closings. Transaction and revenue types can be added and changed, giving the flexibility your business requires. Iris holds comprehensive risk statistics designed to meet specific market needs. Ledgers A double entry bookkeeping ledger is provided as an integral part of Iris. Multi-currency transactions are posted automatically into broker and direct cedant accounts. Debts can be identified and aged. Statements can be produced both for inwards and outwards business and, once received, cash can be posted and reconciled with amounts owed. Outwards Reinsurance Outwards Reinsurance risks can be configured to suit the needs of your business. Statements to reinsurers can be generated automatically using the required format and content. Iris also interfaces with Elgar, our Excess of Loss reinsurance recovery system to create a fully ceding reinsurance solution. Distribution Channels Iris supports a range of risk distribution channels both through the London Market Bureau and direct trading, enabling information to be processed automatically into transactions and claims information. Management Information Iris includes a suite of tools that address a wide range of reporting and management information needs. These include enquiries for ad hoc queries, a wizard for simple stepby-step creation of reports, a designer for more complex reports and a collection of predefined reports. Through our partnership with LogiXML, Iris can provide powerful, flexible and comprehensive management, operation and KPI reporting via configurable dashboards. Iris Web Services Iris Web Services expose core functionality to external applications via web service calls. Quotes, skeletons and policies can be created and managed as well as the creation and maintenance of claims, closed premium and claim payments, thereby eliminating the need to manually key data into multiple systems and improving overall operational efficiency. IMEX is an extensive Import/Export utility, which ensures that any data created via Iris Web Services can benefit from the in-built rules based business processing, thereby ensuring data compatibility and integrity at all times.
