Flexibility<br />

information. Flexible screens and rules based<br />
validation are configured using the built-in<br />
Business Customisation tool. The Screen<br />
Design utility enables a streamlined user<br />
experience while ensuring consistency and<br />

Risk Processing<br />
<strong>Iris</strong> provides complete flexibility for risk<br />
processing. Customers can create any number<br />
of risk types to suit each class of business<br />
or individual underwriter’s needs. Lists and<br />
schedules are easily added to each risk type.<br />
Rules based validation and defaulting of<br />
values helps with data entry and consistency.<br />
Claims<br />
With <strong>Iris</strong> it is easy to monitor and validate<br />
claims accurately. Aggregation of losses by<br />
policy, event, loss type, market reference<br />
and many other factors ensure effective<br />
reinsurance recovery.<br />
Technical Accounting<br />
<strong>Iris</strong> allows customers to design their own<br />
closings. Transaction and revenue types<br />
can be added and changed, giving the<br />
flexibility your business requires. <strong>Iris</strong> holds<br />
comprehensive risk statistics designed to<br />
meet specific market needs.<br />
Ledgers<br />
A double entry bookkeeping ledger is provided<br />
as an integral part of <strong>Iris</strong>. Multi-currency<br />
transactions are posted automatically into<br />
broker and direct cedant accounts. Debts<br />
can be identified and aged. Statements can<br />
be produced both for inwards and outwards<br />
business and, once received, cash can be<br />
posted and reconciled with amounts owed.<br />
Outwards Reinsurance<br />
Outwards Reinsurance risks can be configured<br />
to suit the needs of your business. Statements<br />
to reinsurers can be generated automatically<br />
using the required format and content. <strong>Iris</strong><br />
also interfaces with Elgar, our Excess of Loss<br />
reinsurance recovery system to create a fully<br />
ceding reinsurance solution.<br />
Distribution Channels<br />
<strong>Iris</strong> supports a range of risk distribution<br />
channels both through the London Market<br />
Bureau and direct trading, enabling information<br />
to be processed automatically into transactions<br />
and claims information.<br />
Management Information<br />
<strong>Iris</strong> includes a suite of tools that address a<br />
wide range of reporting and management<br />
information needs. These include enquiries<br />
for ad hoc queries, a wizard for simple stepby-step<br />
creation of reports, a designer for<br />
more complex reports and a collection of predefined<br />
reports. Through our partnership with<br />
LogiXML, <strong>Iris</strong> can provide powerful, flexible<br />
and comprehensive management, operation<br />
and KPI reporting via configurable dashboards.<br />
<strong>Iris</strong> Web Services<br />
<strong>Iris</strong> Web Services expose core functionality<br />
to external applications via web service calls.<br />
Quotes, skeletons and policies can be created<br />
and managed as well as the creation and<br />
maintenance of claims, closed premium and<br />
claim payments, thereby eliminating the need<br />
to manually key data into multiple systems and<br />
improving overall operational efficiency.<br />
IMEX is an extensive Import/Export utility,<br />
which ensures that any data created via <strong>Iris</strong><br />
Web Services can benefit from the in-built<br />
