Proud and Honoured The Distinguished Service Award is for those rare members who have served their club in an official capacity for at least 40 years. Warwickshire Branch President John Kendall visited Bedworth Ex-Servicemen’s Social Club and presented a Long Service Award to Club President Martin Tustin and a Certificate of Merit to Committee member Steve Peake. Durham Branch Secretary Brian Young (second left) visited Usworth & Washington Gardeners Club and presented Certificates of Merits to (left to right) Charlie Robson, Chairman Tony Middlemiss and Bobby Gough. John Mitchell, President of Huntington WMC, near York, presented the Distinguished Service Award and gold badge to Douglas Balding to celebrate 40 years’ service. Duggie is a very active member of the club and at the age of 93 still calls in for a drink and a chat every lunchtime. Club Journal
