We are fast approaching the Christmas break and I would
like to take this opportunity to thank all of our clients for
helping us get through an exciting and challenging 2010.
It has been an eventful year with the launch of the new
brand, the new brochure and investment in new stock. We
are expecting our new furniture to arrive from Italy early
next year, this will introduce some really classy items to our
current ranges.
Among the highlights of the year were the Microsoft TechEd
project at the GCEC, the “Big Day Out” custom area for
school principals in Melbourne and the Reed Exhibitions Gift
Shows in Sydney and Melbourne. Large, complicated and
unlike your standard exhibition, each of these projects were
fantastic examples of the design, project management,
planning and sales skills we possess as a company.
Once again I wish everyone a safe and healthy Christmas
and a fantastic New Year and I look forward to seeing you
all in 2011.
RELOCATION OF PRODUCTION
FROM PEAKHURST TO AUBURN
The team at our production facility in Peakhurst is going to
literally become part of the furniture in Auburn, as they are
about to relocate to take up furniture’s space at 45 Princes
Rd West. We are all looking forward to having the boys join
us at Auburn. Furniture will be moving across the road to the
new factory at 50 Princes Rd West, as seen in these photos.
ELECTRICS NEW TECHNOLOGY
ExpoNet has not been idle with it’s research and
development and has constructed the first ever fully
adjustable Power Distribution Pod. First used at The 2010
Sydney Motor Show it was well received by all parties. Tony
Meagher, the Operations Manager of The 2010 Sydney
Motor Show said “the distribution of power and installation
was more efficient and managed without any issues”.
This Pod enables our electrical teams to
offer the best customer service when
delivering power to not only the show
but also to individual stands. The Pod
allows staff to monitor incoming and
outgoing power loads and gives them
the ability to safely and easily adjust the
circuit breakers to suit the varying loads.
Along with our new timer switch boards, new track system
and LED lighting ExpoNet is moving to a new level of quality
in the delivery of safe and efficient electrical services for
venues, organisers and exhibitors. The new LED lighting not
only reduces power consumption by 85% and is easier and
safer to install they are an attractive addition to the look
of the stand.

SYDNEY KINGS ARE BACK
ExpoNet has supplied 74 Corporate Boxes to the Sydney
Kings Basketball Franchise for use at their home games at the
Sydney Entertainment Centre. Made from our 40mm Maxima
Octanorm System incorporating custom bench tops and using
black simona panels and front digital corporate logos these
are the envy of the other franchises in the National Basketball
League.
Family and corporate entertainment are the values of the
King’s Franchise and still with some boxes to sell for this year it is
great value for all our corporate clients to consider.
FEATURE PROJECT
MICROSOFT TECH· ED
In August, ExpoNet was the official display contractor
for Microsoft Tech•Ed at the Gold Coast Exhibition &
Convention Centre, an all emcompassing project that
required involvement from all the branches. The original
concepts were designed in both Melbourne and Sydney.
The Microsoft Showcase stand, which was the centrepiece
of the show, was a complex custom stand designed in
Sydney. The stand incorporated significant stretch banners
with intrigrated lighting and flooring solutions. It again
demonstrated the ability of ExpoNet and its staff to design
and construct high end custom stands that stand out from
the crowd.

BIG DAY OUT
ICMS Australasia and ExpoNet recently partnered on
the Big Day Out – one of the largest custom projects
built in the Melbourne Convention Centre in August.
Consisting of 15 large custom displays configured in a
unique design using built-in audio visual screens and
fourteen custom
computer kiosks,
the event was
for the launch
of the muchanticipated
Ultranet
online portal
for Victorian
schools.
Large spheres
dominated the
ceiling and tied
the whole event together. Thousands of principals and
key education staff were in attendance and the whole
project was a huge success.

nominated for the Young Achiever
Award. ExpoNet has also been
nominated for the Best Supplier
Team.
IAN STOKER AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE
IN CUSTOMER SERVICE
ExpoNet has initiated an ongoing award named after
the larger than life character Project Manager Ian
Stoker, who tragically passed away last year.
This award will be presented to one of our staff who
has excelled at customer service this year. The finalists
for each branch will
be announced at
the branch Christmas
events in December.
The National award
will be announced in
February 2011 at staff
Kick Off Day.
