<strong>The</strong> <strong>flowers</strong> <strong>today</strong> <strong>are</strong> <strong>given</strong> <strong>by</strong> <strong>Bob</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Yasm<strong>in</strong>e</strong> <strong>Koss</strong> <strong>in</strong> celebration of<br />

their daughter Serra’s birthday.<br />

WELCOME:<br />

Once aga<strong>in</strong>, we <strong>are</strong> happy to have <strong>The</strong> Reverend Nathaniel Pyron as our Celebrant <strong>and</strong> Preacher.<br />

PARISH DIRECTORY:<br />

A new phone Directory has been published <strong>and</strong> is now <strong>in</strong> your mailbox <strong>in</strong> the<br />

Narthex.<br />

ACOLYTES:<br />

We <strong>are</strong> <strong>in</strong> desperate need of Acolytes of any age. If you <strong>are</strong> <strong>in</strong>terested, contact Jack Moelmann at<br />

632-8455 for more <strong>in</strong>formation.<br />

ANNUAL WINE TASTING:<br />

<strong>The</strong> Fellowship Committee <strong>in</strong>vites all adults to St. Michael’s Annual W<strong>in</strong>e Tast<strong>in</strong>g<br />

on Saturday, August 18 at 6:30 p.m. Please br<strong>in</strong>g a bottle of w<strong>in</strong>e for tast<strong>in</strong>g. For<br />

more <strong>in</strong>formation, please contact Bill Dusenbery at 398-1456.<br />

FOOD PANTRY:<br />

Dur<strong>in</strong>g August we <strong>are</strong> focus<strong>in</strong>g on donations of Noodles <strong>and</strong> Rice of all k<strong>in</strong>ds, Powdered Fruit<br />

Dr<strong>in</strong>k Mix <strong>and</strong> Cake Mix <strong>and</strong> Frost<strong>in</strong>g. Donations of any food items will be greatly appreciated<br />

<strong>and</strong> put to good use.


ST. MICHAEL'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH “FLEAZ MARKET”:<br />

St. Michael’s will hold a “Fleaz Market” on Saturday, August 25, from 7:30<br />

a.m. to 1:00 p.m. <strong>in</strong> our church park<strong>in</strong>g lot.<br />

We <strong>are</strong> seek<strong>in</strong>g STUFF . . . COLLECTIBLES <strong>and</strong> FURNITURE. Reserve<br />

your space. To participate, the fee is $20.00 each per rented <strong>are</strong>a (the size<br />

of a park<strong>in</strong>g spot <strong>in</strong> the park<strong>in</strong>g lot). For two spaces the cost is $35.00. You<br />

<strong>are</strong> responsible for cleanup of your <strong>are</strong>a at the end of the event <strong>and</strong>,<br />

please, take the unsold items home. A six-foot table is available for rent at $10.00 each.<br />

St. Michael’s members may choose to either donate their items to a St. Michael’s space with the sales<br />

go<strong>in</strong>g directly to the church, or they may rent a space for the $20.00. Everyth<strong>in</strong>g else would apply<br />

to them <strong>and</strong> anyone else participat<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

A commercial shredd<strong>in</strong>g truck will also be on site to destroy any discarded important <strong>and</strong> private<br />

paperwork you may have. No fee, just br<strong>in</strong>g canned goods as a donation for the O'Fallon Food<br />

Pantry.<br />

Hot dogs, bottled water, <strong>and</strong> soda will be for sale. This project will be hosted <strong>by</strong> the teenagers <strong>and</strong><br />

they will donate 20% of their proceeds to the Outreach program <strong>and</strong> will keep the rest for their<br />

fellowship use.<br />

Committee <strong>are</strong>: Cal <strong>and</strong> Vi Ohlemeier, Judy Meek, Joe <strong>and</strong> June Dublar <strong>and</strong> the Al <strong>and</strong> Nancy<br />

Machmer.<br />

HAIL DAMAGE:<br />

As a result of the hail storm on April 28, we <strong>are</strong> very fortunate to have a new roof on the build<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong><br />

completely rebuilt air-condition<strong>in</strong>g units (all four of them). Total costs of approximately $72,000.<br />

Insurance paid for everyth<strong>in</strong>g except for our deductible of $500. In addition, we have had to have<br />

hail guards built <strong>and</strong> <strong>in</strong>stalled on all four air-condition<strong>in</strong>g units at our cost of $3,150. We look<br />

forward to enjoy<strong>in</strong>g our new enhancements.<br />
