Transport • Chartered buses transport students to and from the hostel • One bus travels to Manaia at 3:40pm on Friday and departs for school at 7:00pm on Sunday evening • Another bus travels to Hawera at 3:40pm on Friday and departs for school at 7:00am on Monday morning • Buses cost $10 per trip ($20 return) • There is no bus service for students who stay over on Friday nights to engage in a school activity. Parents frequently come to spectate then take their son home.
Medical • Sandra Kelson is our Matron • She is the mother of five sons and two daughters and has worked as Matron in two other schools also • She attends to students’ medical needs including transportation to <strong>Carefirst</strong>, physio, dentist... • Sandra holds and dispenses all prescription medications
