<strong>of</strong> fees for late registration<br />

Sept. 12—last day to withdraw<br />
from the university without a<br />

To begin the semester on a high note,<br />
<strong>SDSU</strong> has arranged an array <strong>of</strong> fun-filled<br />
“Welcome Week” activities:<br />

CHHS International Experience<br />
Requirement Added for ENS Students in Fall 2012<br />
Since 2010, the college has required all students<br />
to complete the CHHS Undergraduate<br />
International Experience. Beginning this fall,<br />
the requirement will now include all students<br />
in Social Work, Nursing, Public <strong>Health</strong>, Gerontology,<br />
Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences,<br />
Kinesiology and Foods & Nutrition.<br />
The requirement stems from the college's<br />
recognition that incorporating study abroad<br />
into the college curriculum deepens and enriches<br />
the education experience <strong>of</strong> our students<br />
and provides them with an invaluable<br />
perspective in a world that is growing evermore<br />
diverse.<br />
The <strong>College</strong> currently <strong>of</strong>fers a 3 unit Upper<br />
Division General Education course to satisfy<br />
this requirement, HHS 350. Students enrolled<br />
in the course for Fall 2012 will travel<br />
to Costa Rica, while the Spring semester<br />
course <strong>of</strong>fers travel to Costa Rica, Mexico,<br />
Switzerland, India, China, Germany, Scotland<br />
and Brazil. HHS 350 is also <strong>of</strong>fered<br />
during the summer with travel to Thailand.<br />
