Sept. 10—Last day to drop
classes (11:59pm);
Sept. 12—Last day to add
classes or change grading basis
(11:59pm);
Sept. 12—Last day for payment
of fees for late registration
(3:30pm);
Sept. 12—last day to withdraw
from the university without a
penalty;
Oct. 31—Last day to officially
withdraw from all classes for fall
2012 & receive pro-rated refund;
Nov. 22-23 —Thanksgiving
Holiday
Dec. 7 —Last day of classes
before finals

CHHS International Experience
Requirement Added for ENS Students in Fall 2012
Since 2010, the college has required all students
to complete the CHHS Undergraduate
International Experience. Beginning this fall,
the requirement will now include all students
in Social Work, Nursing, Public Health, Gerontology,
Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences,
Kinesiology and Foods & Nutrition.
The requirement stems from the college's
recognition that incorporating study abroad
into the college curriculum deepens and enriches
the education experience of our students
and provides them with an invaluable
perspective in a world that is growing evermore
diverse.
The College currently offers a 3 unit Upper
Division General Education course to satisfy
this requirement, HHS 350. Students enrolled
in the course for Fall 2012 will travel
to Costa Rica, while the Spring semester
course offers travel to Costa Rica, Mexico,
Switzerland, India, China, Germany, Scotland
and Brazil. HHS 350 is also offered
during the summer with travel to Thailand.
