EnviroFID TM
Flame Ionization Detection (FID)
for VOC Measurements
Portable and lightweight
Wide VOC measurement range
Simple and intuitive operation
Accurate, reliable measurements
Proven Photovac FID technology
Easy to learn and use
Designed for field use
For accurate, reliable
detection of VOCs, the
Photovac EnviroFID is
the right choice in flame
ionization detection. At just
over 8 pounds (3.7 kg.),
the EnviroFID is the
smallest and lightest Flame
Ionization Detector (FID)
available.
The EnviroFID is easy to use. One tutor key prompts
you through basic operations. Critical data is
displayed and logged in less than 3 seconds within
the concentration range of 0.5 -50,000 PPM. A simple
two-step calibration holds for a full workday.
Point and Shoot
The EnviroFID is completely
self-contained in a single
hand-held package,
so transportation and
operation are simplified.
The EnviroFID’s ergonomic
design includes a built-in
handle and a rubberized
keypad that can be used
even while wearing gloves.
The EnviroFID has an integrated, refillable fuel gas
(hydrogen) mini-cylinder to allow up to 12 hours
of field operation. Replaceable and rechargeable
battery packs operate for 15 hours.
Dependable results
With a wide linear range, the EnviroFID responds
to almost all VOCs. The flame ionization detector
is stable and virtually immune to possible
interferences such as water vapor.
Applications
Soil Gas Monitoring
The EnviroFID simplifies the monitoring
of VOC contaminated soil. An audible
alarm alerts the operator when
contamination above preset levels is
exceeded.
Natural Gas Pipeline Leak Detection
Natural Gas is composed almost
entirely of methane. The EnviroFID
is the detector of choice for this
application. The MAX feature combined
with the user adjustable audible
alarm make it easy to pinpoint leaks.
Automated datalogging with selectable
recording intervals make record
keeping simple.
EnviroFID with
Telescoping Wand
(Wand sold separately)
Soil/Water Jar Headspace
Screening
The EnviroFID can detect a wide
variety of VOCs from 0.5 ppm to
50,000 PPM, making it an excellent
screening tool for VOCs in soil
or water static headspace.
Arson Investigations
(Accelerants)
The EnviroFID is ideally suited
for this application because
accelerants can be detected.
EnviroFID’s optional 6’ telescoping
extension wand allows the user
to reach into areas that otherwise
would be inaccessible
